You all are crazy. I put in a blue paintfill on my 919Ts by hand, and sanded off the stuff on the back. That pic of the 921s is basically everything I want my current set to be

Sounds like I’m in the minority here but I personally prefer the finish on these. I personally hate shiny irons. I’d much rather have a black finish or anything that is more matte and less shiny. I think these look great!

In terms of looks, I prefer the Mizuno logo being stamped on the back of the toe of the 919s, rather than on the badge like we see in the 921.

I was fitted for the 919 HMP but put the order in a few days after they ran out of stock. I have a golf trip in October and need the club before then.

I'll agree with people on the satin finish looking great, but I really don't think my 919 Tours looked very good after a few weeks using them. They just seemed to wear off the really good look when brand new and then they looked worse to me. If only they kept that new look.

Like what I'm hearing so far. Sounds like the pic of the Tours is as bad as possible, and I like the lofts of the Forged. Maybe means they're more like the 900s than the 919. What are the pros and cons of the boron vs chromoly?

 

As long as the 923s aren't lighter than the 900s then I probably have to get these

I had a similar issue with the coating or something on the back of my 919s, it started to wear away and even though I knew I was the only one who could see it I had to fix it. The picture isn’t the best, but you can see the wear (left) and then how it looked after a little light sanding. (Right)

This is a work in progress pic- I got the JPX stamp and the lines off, and eventually got all the way to the corners. I think they look a lot better once they’re finished. You just have to seal the metal or it will rust, but it’s not hard to do.
