Ping eye2 XG ( 60 degrees) lob wedge - replacement

Hi there

i have been Using the Ping Eye XG lob wedge ( 60) for quite some time now.

i now need an replacement for it.

i would like a High spin wedge with 60 degrees loft, that is Easy to use, With a wide sole.

 

has anybody tried Any of the following ?

TM High toe

TM High Toe Big foot

Cleveland CBX

 

any other suggestions ?

just do this unless you want a different but similar type. High toe TM or PM Mack daddy are the other two.

I would also recommend the 3.0 ES. I'm a fan of the XG/Gorges as well.

Ping glide 3 with the es grind will work. The glide 2 stealth is another good one.

The Glide 3.0 Eye2 grind is not exactly like the Ping Eye2 XG

It's a slightly different, more normal looking head shape. Like an Eye2 with the corners smoothed over a bit.

The Eye2 XG definitely was a bit wackier and more reminiscent of the original Eye 2

Frankly, my Mack Daddy PM grind looks more like the Eye2 XG than the new Glide 3.0 does

Get a replacement Eye2 XG or Eye2 Gorge off the 'bay. You can get quite a few backups and have them refinished to new. Also, consider sending your current wedge to be refinished...

You could order a new eye 2 gorge from Ping. They still have the heads.

If your grooves are that worn down, they won't cut new ones. If not, a refinish through PING or a third party (I recommend Ron O'Neal of LL Golf) will give your current wedge new life. Note that there are plenty of used clubs on eBay that you could have refinished and the grooves will come out fresh, too.
