Mizuno Irons for 2020

While I think the wedges is ground breaking and amazing, I think some may find it too none traditional and give it the standard WRX scoff. Not because of the shape though. It is very traditional in shape.

I agree when you stop trying to innovate, you die...no doubt.....so that leads me to think their testing is mainly handled on tour...and we, as amateur consumers, see a player with X club in the bag and we flock o buy it.....then the pros come back and say "this stinks" or "this is great" and the process continues......some companies are better than others but Mizuno definitely has marketed their product under the guise of FEEL...not distance....so every guy who plays Mizuno always says "Buttery smooth" or some other term related to feel.....its like an experiment in brainwashing lol...... hey Bill Gates always said "the consumer doesnt know what they want until we tell them what they want"

What's so non traditional about it if the shape is traditional? Does it have vertical grooves or onset or something crazy?

I think the channel is hidden by the plastic cover. Take a look at the still image from the video posted this morning. Also, the channel almost certainly has to be there in the hot metal and you can't see it on that iron either...

The shape is very traditional. It is the design i think some may plug their nose at. Maybe I am wrong, I hope that I am wrong.

my interested is piqued. Are we going to see the wedge at the same time as the other irons?

I saw on the youtube video mizuno posted they replied to someone's comment that pricing would be released next week (8/10). Would we see the wedge at that time? Also, will they release specs at the same time as pricing?

The boys at TXG seem very impressed with the JPX 921, Ian was particularly impressed with the Forged and HMP versions. Can't wait to go in for a fitting once they have them in the shop, although I've already decided on the 921 Forged model in my head. Expensive autumn incoming!

Nothing about this line has my attention. Seems a bit recycled and aesthetics look corny. Has Mizuno jumped the shark?

Definitely better than the blue, but would have to give the edge to the finish of the 919F/T. No extra colours needed and put the Mizuno logo back on the toe!

I doubt TXG is releasing the video with Voshall tomorrow however they will probably be one of the first to put out an authorized video about the 921 line.

The new wedge is out early October.

I'm betting next Monday, it seems like the rest of everything we don't know will be next week. Mizuno answered my question and someone else's in the comments on the video which confirmed pricing and specs are coming next Monday.

It will be interesting to see the gapping on these for lofts will they be 1 degree strong over normal lofts or 2 degree strong like Forged
