Might as well just go BXS. TP5 is a solid performer and is definitely softer than BX but, why not just go BXS?

I am in the midst of yellow TP5X and will finish the boxes I bought and am excited for the BXS as the next ball

B XS is it. No noticeable distance loss compared to B X and softer. The only caveat is that if you are a high spin player then B XS may be a bit shorter (1/2 club) than B X since B XS spins a touch more.

Thanks guys, I am high spin especially with the driver. I played prov1x the other day lost 10-15 yards compared to the bx. Then played pro v 1. Loved the feel off every club except the putter and it was a good 5-10 yards shorter than the bx. Mind you I am playing 2019 bx. I have heard great things on the 2020 bx just haven’t bought any yet since I still have a stock pile of 2019. Thanks for the info.

Apologies if this has been covered. Does anybody know if Bstone has a yellow version of the Tour B XS this year ? I can’t seem to find any and I’m running low on the last gen yellow.

I saw them in Japan, from what I have read they are Japan only.

Yes and no. But yes ! I was asking about the 2020 ball. But I’m fine with the prior ball since that’s what I’m playing. I’ll stock up at that price Thanks for the info

Ah, it's so hard to tell what's current and what's prior generation. Just went to the Bridgestone site to I could re-familiarize myself with the differences in the box designs

I gamed RX in windy condition (15 mph). RX performed marvelously against wind. I must say the best wind ball.

 

Soft and enough spin for me. nice ball.

Just wanted to give my experience with Bridgestone balls. About a 4 cap, and driver speed around 105. I’ve always been in the camp that a ball is a ball. Plus, my son plays and didn’t want to spend the money. I used to buy either the double dozen zips from Walmart or would stock up through rbg when the duo spins were $8 a dozen. Well after seeing the reviews for the 2020 tour b’s, I broke down and bought a dozen of the xs. I immediately picked up yards and Height on all my clubs. I believe the real advantage is around the greens. I really don’t spin the ball at all but I can hit any shot around the green now. The high, soft landing or the one hop and stop. Everybody in my group was amazed. Also, the cover is as durable as any ball I’ve played. I played around 50 holes this weekend with 1 ball and hit the path at least once and it really wasn’t bad scuffed. Two more guys in my group have switched to them. I recently purchased 4 more dozen.

This series, either bx or BXS is the ball of the year. I am still trying to decide which one for me..

For now. Japan is the test market for big releases. They had Yellow TP5 for a while prior to release. A yellow BXS or BX would absolutely make me a believer. Those balls are like cheating with the amount of greenside grab.

Man you ain’t gotta lie on this forum. Nobody on WRX hits cart paths! We hit 320 yard bombs right down the fairway ONLY!!! Nah real talk, I had a similar experience as you this past weekend with the XS. Played 17 of 36 holes before I lost one on a bad drive. Played the last 19 holes with the next one in the sleeve and it’s ready for more action.

I don't know if this means anything. But the Tour B X is the first sleeve of balls that has lasted me many rounds. Like i haven't scuffed one up or i haven't lost one. I cant say i have shot the lowest scores, but the "not losing one" really stands out to me.

What does that mean? because i seem to lose TP5's like its nobody's business.

Also my swing speed is below the recommended number. But this ball feels perfectly fine to me.

Currently playing the 2020 BXS. Last year I switched between both BX and XS. Agree about the durability for 2020 model. Although, I found last years model to be pretty durable as well.

What stands out for me with the new XS is 3 things; 1. feel at impact on mid irons (ball feels like it sticks on the face) 2. Feel off of the putter is fantastic. I find this works if you don’t play an overly soft putter. 3. Spin around the greens is silly good. I can get much more aggressive with chips and pitches.

Have not played the BX yet for 2020, but I’ve heard it is much improved on feel. I was not a fan of the previous model BX for feel.

I’m interested in trying the Srixon Z Star. But it will be hard to beat this new model BXS. It just feels too good, performs great from 7 iron and in plus on and around greens it really shines.
