I just placed an order with them today for my new irons. Really excited to get them. The email I received a few hours later said it would take 2-3 weeks to ship. Does anyone have any experience in getting clubs sooner from DD?

DD drop ships, meaning they don't actually control the shipping. If they said 2-3 weeks it is because that's how long it will take the manufacturer to make/send the clubs.

in my experience, DD actually had the order shipped to them and then they ship it out to the customer. i thought drop shipping meant the manufacturer ships directly to the customer.

Your understanding of drop shipping is correct. I've had five different club orders from DD and every single order was drop shipped; I've never received anything directly from DD. I live in Texas, so maybe DD only drop ships to certain states.

E-mailed them Friday about a set of Ping i210 irons. They got back to me within a couple of hours, and also answered my other questions ( emails) in a very short amount of time. I ended up ordering a set from them, and was quoted 3~4 weeks. Not holding my breath on that though. Anyways, I appreciated the very timely manner in which all of my emails were answered.

My PXG order from Discount Dan's was sent from PXG to DDs and then from there to me in Texas, which it seems is how it worked for most for PXG orders. It may be manufacturer specific on whether they drop ship directly to consumers or whether they have to physically handle it at some point in the transaction.

if you got custom irons, then it really depends on the manufacturer...during these covid times, ive experienced both shorter and longer than estimated delivery times from the same manufacturer

I haven't received any reply from DD about an online order despite contacting them twice in a week . In the past communication was fine. Is black Friday overwhelming DD?

Did you call or email? Typically calling works better.
