have you checked those clubs with a SW scale to se how "good" this numbers really is?

Most formulas for SW is using club length, but we dont always add weight at that spot, and for irons and wedges using tip weights we should change club length by the same as BBGM to get closer to the spot we actually adds weight.

I have a 7 wood I made a year or so ago when all I would do is try and get the swing weight "right" well it's the best feeling club ever I then did own or use a gram scale and the shaft is a tx90 1 of 3 I bought samples of.

So I bought the same head and I am using penley ETA xx flex to try an d match the feel

I could be crazy but the lighter but xx flex shaft feel like the club with graver shaft I have added some lead tape....

Tape will raise balance point an 1/8 to a 1/4 so that is something but I thought would have to add way more

I re calculated the numbers and yes BP moved about 1/4 inch

I guess having xx shaft instead a stiff tt tx-90 makes the head feel lighter then it is.

Your preferred MOI values are quite high.  Anything up over 2750 feels like swinging a sledge hammer to me.  I played 2650 for a while and am now playing 2700.  I'm toying with the idea of possibly going to 2725.  Of course, this is all after my realization that it's the MBI that matters most, not the absolute MOI matched value.

 

Also, since you're tracking a lot of data, you should add a couple columns to start calculating the static "balance", weight distribution ratios between the head vs. shaft+grip and the head vs. the total club weight.  I would be interested in seeing where your builds are coming in at.  I ask because what I'm now seeing in my MBI builds is that these static ratios are meaningful and can be used to plan builds for MBI matched sets.  When the results from the calculations all match, the MBI for a "set" of clubs also matches.  That means that it only works across the same type of clubs; like a set of irons.  It's kind of like how swingweight is only meaningful relatively across the same type of club in a set.  These static balance ratios are only meaningful within the set, but they work nonetheless.

Almost.  The formatting of the tables you're posting does not show up well on my browser, but I was hoping you would go the final step and actually perform the calculations and present the results as percentages.  Of course I could take all the numbers you've posted and do that, but if you were already willing... ?
