Best Golf state

toughest state tournament
my high school team in Cincinnati has placed in the top 5 in state for the past four years. Schools from other states have invited us to their invitational tournament to see how good they are compared to us. We have found that we are much better than any state around. Give a shout out at what the scores your teams shot at state and the winning score.

Even though we may not get to play all year round, the NY state tourney is very competitive. Some of the best players such as David May who is currently attending Clemson on a full scholarship played last year played, and many other premier junior players. States are strictly individual here, but CBA sectional champs.

Well Phillip Francis played for a High School in Arizona last year...

phillip played for notre dame hs in pheonix last golf seoson (04) but is now home schooled for a few reasons:

terable grades

looking to turn pro

and he is travling all over for big jr tournaments

are hs team shot 300 289 and lost by 10 shots the winners shot 290 289. flo i highly disagree with you about florida being the best golf state, az has the highest quality courses large veriaty and amazing weather all year im most places.

California is tough because the venue is very difficult (Poppy Hills, set up very similar to the AT&T), and it is really tough to get in the tourney because they only take 6 teams and they don't divide it by divisions. It is also only one round and you have to count five scores out of six. I think the winner shot 367 or something like that.

 (cool)

southwest Ohio is the best division anywhere around. Got players like Rob Chappell who is currently #1 man for Dayton and has won a few college tournaments. Alex Martin who is by far the best golfer around probably in the nation, look out for him in college next year. don't want to keep going on but these guys have played around par or under at state tournament at Ohio State's Scarlet course

Dude I know about that, I was going to go there this year until they screwed us out of decent classes because they said it was illegal to take Geometry in middle school. And Notre Dame is in Scottsdale btw. Its just south east of westworld and just east of the TPC. Tuition is about 10 grand a year.

the weather plays a big factor ...when the state tourny is played in IL its like 38* and raining sideways.... so its unfair to compare scores from that to say FL or AZ although i do agree that most of the best golfers come from the southern states naturally because they can play outside all year round. 1

I'm from Pa and would have to agree that the best COMPETITION is in Fla, Az, Cali, i think that golf in Pa is extremely tough. They are finally adding team competition to states instead of just individual which was nice. In District which is as far as team goes in Pa i belive my team shot 390 for our starting 5. thats an average of like 78. We played in 40* weather with 25-35 mph winds gusting even higher at times. We came in second. the weather was brutal.

I play high school golf in Texas, and I think its pretty competitive as well. To get out of regionals you have to shoot 600 as a high, and at tate 580 will win at the high. The winner for invidiual shot 61-66=137.

Today, my team had regionals and we shot 301 and are leading by 3, but still have to play tomorrow.

i play for St. Augustine in So Cal and we son Cali state championships in 2005 with a 375 on Poppy Hills.....idk but ithinkn that is pretty much as hard as it gets

u see what murrietta valley has been shooting lately? 350 and 352 they will be tough to beat. Ricky Fowler has shot 62 three times this week all in tournaments. I think u guys can take them u did solidly at SCGA last year i was there
