Design Ideas for my Putting Green

Ok all you would be golf course designers, or even real ones(if you have had an idea that was a little to out there for a real golf course, or would just like to give me some of your thoughts). I am looking for feed back on the design of my water hazard for my putting green at home. In my small brain, I think if I hit it into water enough at home I won't need to do it on the course. haha. But I digress, ok down to business.

I had a putting green installed in my back yard with small area for a water feature pre cut into the hill and green, photos below(I will take better shots if you need me to). I am ready to finish the stream and water falls, and I am looking for ideas. One of my first thoughts for the falls was to do them in fake crystal, like Supermans crystal home. But I think the crystals would just turn green after a while. I also thought about having dynasor bones in the falls somewhere. One thing I know for sure that I want for the falls is I want small levels of actual drop for the water. I don't want it to sound like monster falls, just a nice soothing gental water flow down the falls. I have area on each side of the falls where I will make fake rocks(light weight and can be made to fit the area). Any thoughts on materials or colors I should make the actual falls out of would be great. I am also looking for rubber rocks to line the water feature where it meets the green. I have 5 different tee boxes around the green that I hit shots from, so I want the rubber rocks around the green so I don't have big bounces that may go into the neighbors yard.

The area is small, its about 5' by 5' for the water feature, the falls are close to 5' high with a width of 7'. The actual falls width will more than likely end up being 3 1/2 to 4 feet wide and 4 1/2 feet high. I want my water hazard to be unique, so any and all ideas would be greatly appreciated. I encourage you to think outside the box.

personally i would make the waterfall match those large stones you have lying off to the side. That way the overall look of your landscape would be made from like/natural materials. Maybe include some bamboo accents, but keep the falls looking as much like a natural part of your lanscape as possible... (as not to look like a mini-golf course) Maybe even add a few plantings at the top of the falls to create some sort of a backdrop. it may add some shadows to your putting green, but i think that's' part of the sport and may be a good thing.

 

I will keep my mind open if i think of an other ideas.

No bunkers planned, not interested in cleaning the animal stuff out of it. I get myself in enough trouble with my wife, so I wouldn't want to pass that along to you guys.

 

Just a side note, the block walls you see in the backround are going to be made to look like a rock face, maybe granite or a sandstone look. I can make them any color, and I think it is going to be fun making them look like rock faces, and they might even look good. I am going to put in some Ferns around the falls, or maybe Palms note quite sure yet.
