NIKE slingshot vs Slingshot tour (THE HYBRIDS)

I've just tried the Nike slingshot hybrid at dicks and it is amazing. it definitely was easier to hit than the rescue mid and felt better too. I'm thinking about changing my hybrid, but the regular slingshot seemed to be draw biased. So I was considering the slingshot tour hybrid #3. How do you guys like it? Do you like the hDiamana shaft or should I go for the steel. How much difference is there between the slingshot and the tour? is the tour much less forgiving? Please answer my question. thanks... i demoed the slingshot and have the slingshot tour. the slingshot was a hooker for me (and i play a fade). the slingshot tour has a little draw bias, but nothing over controlling. my misses are a slight draw. after this past weekend, i am thinking part of my misses being to the left could be because of the lie angle of the club, and that i might be catching the heel a little. i also have a tm rescue dual tp with the neutral setting and its been pretty good to me but the slingshot is much longer. the rescue spins a bit much for me.

i'm not a fan of graphite shafts, so i got the slingshot tour with the dgsl s300 but reshafted with a rifle 6.0 shaft. the added weight has helped control my swing and helped reduce the draw.

I draw every iron and haven't found the Slingshot Hybrid to be notably draw worthy. I have a 23 with a regular steel shaft that I hit a slight draw with, and a 20 with the stiff steel that I hit dead straight. I've also tried the Tour version in 21. It goes a bit lower and wasn't quite as forgiving.

I preferred the regular Slingshots in the end, and with steel rather than graphite as they feel more iron-like that way.

The main difference, for me, between the two was trajectory. The Tour has a lower trajectory and less draw bias. I'm in the same boat as golfernut, my SS Tour 21 tends to be a slight draw on normal shots.

Tried the hDiamana and it was definitely longer, but I chose steel for better control/accuracy.

Love my Tours. The hDiamana has actually been a very controllable shaft for me - no reason not to like it. It feels soft, but plays fairly consistent with no ballooning and good dispersion. I think many assume that the "soft" feel translates into inconsistency, but I have not found that to be the case at all. Very strong stock shaft offering (as is the diamana for nike in the drivers and fw's, IMO). I have not tried to standard hybrids, so I cannot compare them, but I highly recommend the slingshot tours. In fact, as you can see from my bag, I think Nike is making a great line of products right now. The performance, feel and sound of their "players" clubs really appeal to me, and the SS Tour hybrid is no exception.

I chose the normal ones over the tours. You will get a higher lanch with the normal one.

I chose the tour for reasons stated by posters above. Less draw, and a low trajectory that I can mash in the wind instead of a fairway wood. I have the stiff DG steel shaft that I want to replace with a nice x flex graffite shaft if any one has any suggestions.........

I personally recommend the Cleveland Halo. The stock graphite shaft is a bit weak so you might want to go steel shaft or switch out for a nicer hybrid shaft. That's just my opinion though.

I was thinking about getting a SS Tour...until I realized clubs with the same performance have been around for years. Why spend $100+ when you can get something older for <$50? My Retro Raylor has the same 455 carpenter stainless face as...wait for it...the SS/Tour. It plays just as well as any modern hybrid without ridiculous offset and draw bias. Best of all, it was only $25 from a fellow wrx'er
