Where to Golf???? All Inclusive Resort would be Great

I just bought a samsonite one. It's huge. It's great. I've traveled a few times with my clubs so no big deal. A few towels, a Broom Stick and that's all you need. The taxi is going to be fun! I'm going to have to rent a van for sure.

OK I'm here. I'm at the Biltmore. Played my first Round Today. Quick Notes:

Hotel is Very nice. Room (Suite) is big enough and clean. Hotel is not as nice as the Fairmont which I stayed at in March but still a solid choice.

The Course.

First Impressions

VERY OVERPRICED. $189 per round (Holiday Rates today). This is a $129 course. Very nice but not perfect. Condition was ok with some rough areas around the green. The fairway is very dry even though there was some rain last night.

The Range was packed before the round. Problem is it was getting reseeded and we had to hit of mats which I hate.

Played the Tips (Par 71), 6400 yards or so. Very fair course. Front had some insane dog legs. Back had much more challenging holes. Overall I like the course but I was definetly spoiled by the Fairmont Turnberry Island earlier in the season.

I'm not used to playing such severe dog legs so obviously I tried to cut every corner leading to a few bogeys on the way to a front of 41. I smartened up on the back and shot a 1 over 37 for a total of 78. Not bad for me.

So the course is good enough for me to play here the rest of the weekend without looking anywhere else but Not good enough for me to come back. 7.5/10.

Quick Note. I was paired up with a couple of young guys - Nice guys but turrible golfers and some old guy who was so fricken annoying. The first hole was par 5. The group ahead was 270 away. I was waiting to hit. He's like this is a 2 club wind, hit it. He did this to me a few times until I was ticked and told him to mind his own business. We didn't talk the rest of the round. He would putt when he wasn't away, not pull the flag when others were away, play out of turn, ...... What a tool.

Oh well.

So 3 more rounds. My goal is to stick under 80 for all the rounds. Shouldn't be a problem but I had a bad driver day today so we'll see.

next year, do phoenix/scottsdale. The courses are top notch and conditions fantastic, the restaurants and resorts are excellent. Dry and sunshine every day.
