Club feels light...Need help estimating Swingweight

Ok, my Adams fairway wood XTD Pro Tour Issue from GPP golf feels a little lighter than my other clubs. Factory length is 42" for this 16* 4 wood.

balance point to grip end = 32"
Overall club length = 42"
Headweight = 218.5g
Shaft = 62g
Grip 50g


Can somebody help me estimate the swing weight?

this worked well on my wedges I built. I went and had a local shop get the weight and it matched up perfect.

Ahh, just as I suspected. It says C8. This sucks, now I have to pull the shaft I just installed and add weight to the head.

I can guesstimate - high "C's" due to the 62 gram shaft. That sure is light. I can't imagine having any shaft under 70 grams in my 3wd or 4wd. By the way my 3wd with "X" SW is D5 and 4wd is D9 @43"

I just pulled the shaft and hotmelted the head to 230g. Should play D3-D4 with the 62g shaft now.

When i installed the shaft the first thing I noticed was that it felt too tip stiff. The added head weight should help.

IMO weighting the head will bring the swing weight up, but with that light of a shaft the club would feel unbalanced, least to me, and head heavy; like a weighted training club.

I've just tweaked my 13* FP400F - put a 60g shaft in playing at around 43.5" and swingweight around D3.

I don't use my 3 wood off the tee much, it is typically a club which I'm trying to get big distance out of from the fairway into a par 5.

Will let you know how it goes if interested (won't be used for first time until weekend).

you could have just added some lead tape and tested without having to go thru pulling, hotmelting, reinstalling
But thats a mood point since you've already done it

Club feels great. I put it next to a small heater at 140* F to accelerate the drying process. Made a couple of swings with it and it feels like my other clubs weight now.
