Problems regarding club pros/managers against junior golfers

I am a member at a very nice "country club" and feel privileged to be a member there. However the thing that my friends and i that are members at this course seem to anger the pros by taking divots, in squares, as we're supposed to. However like normal golfers and most good golfers we take rather large divots and with our continuos hitting and practicing,we inevitably eat up parts of the driving range. because of this one of the assistant pros walks up to my dad and tells him that he wants to make a separate driving range all the way on the OTHER side of the driving range (500 yards), and have us pick up our own golf balls so we will learn how to hit them closer together. My dad told me later that afternoon that he tried not to laugh. Plus i had to get below a 10 before i could play on my own.(Most of membership struggles to get below 20)

My course is a very enjoyable place now that we have a new head golf pro. The previous one was a pompous jerk and got fired. Ok so here is my story...
I was 13 years old and I was at the driving range. At that time I was a fairly poor golfer, shooting around 100. I topped a ball severly about 3 feet in front of me. So i decided to pick the ball back up and hit it again. The pro saw me and actually kicked me off the course! Even worse, he made me call my mom to pick me up in front of him. It was absolutely laughable.... I'm very glad he's gone. Almost everybody I've talked to that plays the course, junior and elders alike (even my high school golf coach), did not like the man at all.

I assume you are a member? If yes then I would suggest you politely remind any employee at the course that you are a customer. Remember club pros and managers are "employees" and not soemone that deserves specail treatment. If you continue to have problems I would suggest you address your concerns to the director or members who have authority over those who are hired to provide service to their members.

Nothing makes me happier than playing golf with a young person who has good ediqute and can play the game.

I have no advice, just a perspective. Being mean to kids is a gross sign of weakness of character. It's the classic "I'll bully you because I can" mentality that reflects 10 time worse on the perpetrator, than on you. And the fact that these wack jobs are supposedly upstanding members of a community is even more disgusting. What goes around comes around...just wait till they are drooling in diapers in a nursing home...then they will understand what it means to be bullied.

As a golfer and a gentleman (or lady) you can outclass them. Granted they are not setting the bar very high, but just because they stoop to the emotional level of a 4 year old does not mean you need to.

And odds are you are better than they are. A good golfer respects good golf. A golf poser on the other hand...well you get the idea.

i always get looks when i go back to the black tee's but most people are great after you hit the green in 1 on the number 1 317 yard par 4

some people are a** holes on the first tee to me because the first hole is a 317 yard par 4 down hill. the tee is elavated probably 20 feet so i always have to wait for people to get of the green before i hit, some people get mad and instanly tell me i wont get it there and tell me to hit a 4 iron and lay up.
since i am a cocky 14 year old i do one of the following 1. rip on a drive and put it on or over the greem or 2. go your right i should lay up and take out a 7 iron flash it to them then proceed to hit it over the 184 yard away creek

after that if there not nice i ask to bet . and by the end of every round they are very nice once the realise i have talent and play by all the rules
