Scratch Golf 2010 Prototype Staff Bag Pics!

Recommended Posts

I spent all of 30 seconds photoshopping this then I saw 2012 beat me too it!

Here's what I like or replace the blue piping with white. I like the bag a lot. It's not too overly done like the TM bags that look like a Transformer (autobot), but it still looks modern.

tah-dah! :D

I'll admit that white with black trim is dead sexy !

Yup! I would have to agree. Thanks for doing this.

I have the current bag, and I really like it. Its a nice simple classy design.

Put me down for one of the black w/ white trim staff bags.

sweet mother of God the Gray and white bag please. WOW, and by the way put my new irons in them when you send them Ari!!!!!!!!

Hmmmm...I wonder if Scratch has any interest in staffing PGA members to get their products/demos in some shops.

+1, or black w/ white piping and white S.

I think a white would be cool but probably get dirty quite quick.

Searching old posts for a staff bag inspiration and came across this one. The original bags (blue & yellow/red, white & blue) look sweet, but I think the black with white piping is the sexiest looking bag i have ever seen. Simple and classy, just like the new wedge and iron lines. Maybe a "tour department" option with custom colors as well. I have paypal ready if the white and black (or some combination thereof) becomes available.

+1 On the TD bag where you could maybe design your bag and choose colors would be a great idea.

I also think headcoveres would be an awesome seller too. Definitely a putter cover, and driver, fairway wood and hybrid covers would be awesome. Maybe like a new throwback type of driver/fairway, or hybrid cover. Just something simple and cool looking.

Kinda like this: http://www.tourspecgolf.com/Titleist-Japan...Headcover-HCD77. I own this cover and its just a simple but sleek looking driver headcover. Maybe just a S on the backside (where the toe sits in the cover), and maybe dancing font Scratch, or cursive where Titleist is.

I also have a TM one like this but its leather and says circa '79. I guess kinda the same concept maybe Scratch where TM is and the S where the circa '79 is.

This is kinda just a brainstorming, daydreaming, pipe dream :drag: of an idea.

Completely agree. With all the major OEM's going so "tech" and loud looking with their products, it is a nice thing to still see some classic offerings. I have never owned a scratch product (exchanging PMs with Ari as we speak to see about changing that), but the irons and wedges, especially this year's updated models, just look so clean. The black and white and white and navy bags strike me the same way - they don't catch your eye because they are loud and garish. Like the irons and wedges, they catch your eye because they are simple, sharp, and classic. In a golf world full of bling, class and elegance WILL stand out and be noticed.

Put a little different way, most of the companies appear to be trying to catch your eye the way that Ian Poulter and Jesper Parnevik do. They stand out with loud colors and by trying to look unconventional and modern. Ben Hogan stood out too, though, and not just with his game. Dude ALWAYS looked impeccable. You could line 100 golfers up, and someone who knew nothing about the game could pick him out because of his classic, elegant attire. Seems Scratch's products are trending that way, too, and I like it.

Quick update for you guys:

We have a small order of the Blue/Yellow bags that Ryan was carrying in China that will be in stock soon. Most of these are already sold.

From there we have made a small change to the bag, adding SCRATCH and GOLF to the S on the side of the bag. Ryan decided it was not visible enough on TV with just the S and too many questions were being asked about what the S was.
We have 4 different color combos that we will be starting the year with that Ryan will switch back and forth between. White bag w Black letters and trim, Dark Blue bag w White letters and trim, Dark Grey bag w White letters and trim and a special edition Masters bag that will be some form of White and Green.

I will get you guys more info as I have it. I hope everyone had a great holiday!

I think adding Scratch Golf to the side will look better. It kinda looked a little off w/ just the S, maybe because I am used to seeing staff bags plastered w/ the companies name all over it (plus I got the one thats on the website now, I like the Scratch in curssive).

Any idea on price points for the new bags? Will they be the same model as in the OP? Looking forward to the pics white/black and dark/white.

Any idea what the first tournament Ryan will be playing?

The mockups of the new design look great. It is still clean and classic but is a little more recognizable as a Scratch Golf bag with more than the S.

The new bags will be about the same price point as the old bag. They are the same model as the OP. We are actually very happy with the bag all of our Tour Pros that have seen them like them alot more than the old bags in terms of useability and deign. We even have a few Tour Pros that have us making bags for them at their sponsors expense that will not have our logo because they liked Ryan's bag so much.

Ryan's first tournament will be the first PGA Tour event of the year, the SBS Championship in Maui January 7-10th with its 28 player, 2009 winner only field.
