Anyone using this putter

I'm thinking of picking up a Fastback. I have putted with this in the store a lot feels very nice. I like the weight of it and the feel at impact. Anyone using one what do you think of it?

I have a Byron 006 with stainless steel I would like to trade for one.

I'm looking into the fastback too..interested to hear what people are saying.
And I know the regular version has a different neck than the 1.5. Which one in your opinion is better? What do these different neck options provide/how do they preform differently?

Really in the market for a face-balanced putter and this might be the one

I've got the 1.5 being delivered on Tuesday. I've never seen one in person but have a slot open and this is the style I was looking for. I relly like the look of this neck on this style. I'll let you know my thoughts once it arrives!

I am on the fence between a Fastback 1.5 and a Laguna 1.5. I'm currently using a Studio Style 2.5 - it has the GSS insert and a good sized sweet spot. But, why not do a litle tinkering.

I was always a huge fan of the Ping Zing, hence the Laguna love. But the Fastback seems like it might be more forgiving. My concerns are that it may be shorter (heel to toe) than other Newports, and shorter in face height. I would love to see some pics of a Fastback next to some of the other Newport style putters.

I wish I lived somewhere that I could just roll them both, but no such luck. Interested in hearing what others have to say.

My take. I much prefer the Fastback 1.5 over the 1. The double bend shaft on the 1 just looks odd to me. Plus the 1.5 has more toe hang, which I prefer. It's around 4:00 as I recall.

I love the Laguna 1.5. The look and feel are both sweet. If I wasn't gaming a buttonback I think I'd go ith the Laguna.

I dig the Fastback 1.5 a lot. I'm thinking of buying one myself actually.

I've got a Fastback 1, picked it up on the BST for about $170 a few months back, awesome deal. I love the way it looks at address, the 1.5 that I have tried in the stores just doesn't look right to me. I have a 34" circle H with 20 gram weights. I used it this past weekend on a course with greens that are always on the slow side. It was money all day. I think the best part about it is that it is a great compromise between a blade and mallet. I tend to make shorter puts more often with a mallet putter, and put better on long puts with a blade putter. The fastback seems to be the answer to my problems. I also put on a studio design grip which is a little smaller than the titleist cord grip that came on it. This seems to help as well The real answer is that I am mental like every other golfer and the fastback will probably be replaced in two weeks with another putter I have waiting on deck, but this is how I feel today anyways......hope this helps.

I have a 1.5 in the rotation right now and find it a great little putter. I have the 33/360g model and find it very nice. Short putts are a breeze to "slam in" if thats the right terminology. Take the break out and just firm in, and I have found that the distance control and feel is very good. I am partial to the 1.5 as the double bend shaft always makes the putter look closed to me.

I've had multiple Scottys over the years and could never find one I was comfortable with. I couldn't find consistency with any of them. This week the Fastback 1.5 33" was delivered and I've had it out on the course. I have to say this is the one I've been looking for. Distance control, touch, and feel that compliments my putting right from the start. It is definately a keeper. My favorite Cameron Pinehurst headcover went on it to keep it familiar and in the bag it went.

I have the #1 and it's been my favorite Scotty by far, for one of the reasons peterbride mentions above... it's a perfect combination of blade and mallet. It's relegated all of my Anser/NP style putters to the practice bag. And I prefer the double-bend shaft over the flare of the 1.5, it just seems to "flow" into the head better (for lack of a better word). This is the same reason I prefer the Red X3 over the X5.

However, I recently demo'd a Kombi S, and all I can say is... wow. And this is coming from a guy who gamed an Anser 2 for 20 years.
