old school ping putters

bronze, copper, nickel

I'm thinking about picking up one of the older bronze, copper, or nickel Ping anser putters. I've read that the heads back then were kind of light, anybody have an accurate weight? Also, which of those 3 would you guys recommend? I know you can still order the bronze ones from Morton for pretty cheap, about $90.

I recently picked up the Scottsdale Anser in nickel. Definitely heavier than my 85029 manganese bronze Anser, but I don't know by how much. Sweet putter and flying under the radar, so the prices are pretty good. I want it in copper!

The Scottsdale series is the way to go, Bronze has the sound slot, Copper and Nickel don't but are amazing. A little pricey however.
If I remember right, the beNi is the heaviest of the three.

BeNi is the softest and heaviest. A great investment if you can find one in good shape.

Just putted with a friends BeCu Anser 2 today, really liked it

I game a BeCu Anser 4 and had a headweight of 320 grams. Too light for me so I added lead tape to the sole. Great putter.

A BeCU Anser 4? I could be interested if the condition is very good or better and the price is right.

I miss my nickle Zing which was destroyed in a car wreck along with my faithful V steels many moons ago. I also had an Anser 4 and a B60 both in nickel as well. They are nice feeling and rolling putters.
