what do you guys think about these new sticks from Mizuno?

all of them looks great to my eye and they're good price too.

Well my bag is mostly JDM and i love the stuff, but with buying a new house, it's all about finding a deal now.

They don't look much different then anything else out there...not bad not great. $285, not cheap.

I agree with everyone else....$285 is not cheap. I don't see anything original but they are nice looking putters and offer the most popular styles. Just looking at the pics, they look like they could have a glare problem on a sunny day.

Anyone know what the insert is made of?

While the retail price does put them into rather rare air it is increasingly likely that they will sell their share.

For the club you use the most in your bag where would you invest your technology dollar?

I love Mizuno and Id love to game a Mizuno putter but for $285 I'll stick with my Cleveland Classic 2. Hopefully when those putters are released to the American market the price is a little more reasonable.

Without the Bettinardi cache, these designs are nice, but are kinda underwhelming in design and aesthetics. Selling these at the Cleveland price point would be a better decision, as Bucky so well said.

They're not that impressive in design or aesthetics. Frankly, I don't understand the desire of all equipment manufacturers to produce every club in the bag. There must be some market share theory or some perceived financial benefit, but I can't imagine what it is. I just can't see how Mizuno could ever make enough money selling putters to make it worth the effort. Mizuno makes great irons...seems like everything else just kind of waters down their real strength.

$285 for a putter is that is only milled on the face is pretty expensive. You can save $200 and buy a Cleveland Classic and still get face milling.

yah any word on who makes them? if it's mizzy themselves sounds like a tough sell. not tour tested and premium prices. agreed just from the looks, doesn't seem anything special. hard not to try to compare them to bettinardi's which makes them look worse imo.

Everyone else does it, why not Mizuno? Id love to see Mizuno start making grain flow forged putters like the old Mizuno T.P. Mills putters.
I think its great that Mizuno is getting back in the putter game, I just think they will have a hard time competing at that price point. They need to be more in the $70-$150 range that Cleveland, Taylormade and Odyssey are in.
IMO, if people are going to spend $300 on a putter they are probably going to go with a Cameron before a Mizuno.

Just to clarify--this is a Japan/Asian release. $285 accounts for the premium to get a Japan release shipped to the U.S. Not my cup of tea but some folks like to get what most folks can't.

Everyone else does it, why not Mizuno? Id love to see Mizuno start making grain flow forged putters like the old Mizuno T.P. Mills putters.

Remember guys that the JDM market is COMPLETELY different than the US... these are a great "deal" for some guy in Japan that wants Mizuno top to bottom in his bag.... In all honesty, Mizuno is an iron and wedge company... that's really all they care about... their market share in irons and the fact that they don't dump model after model in woods/fairways/hybrids on shops is something that should be respected... They have 2 year product cycles for all their models in the US and I think that other manufacturers could learn a thing or two from Mizuno...

You obviously havent hit any of the newer Mizuno drivers, fairway woods or hybrids. Since the MX-700 came out last year, Mizuno has become nearly a complete golf company. All thats missing is being a success in the putter market.
The MP-630s have all been getting rave reviews.
