Of course custom fit too by me :)
Hi Guys,
I just want to introduce you guys a custom hand grind & custom fit by ME personally.

Ari and I have been talking to get this program going since a lot of members here like the way i fit and custom hand grind them to fit every individual. Ari will chime in to fill you guys up with some other info if needed.

As we all knows that Scratch wedges custom hand grind pricing start from $299 by Jeff, So I will respect Ari and his team and start exactly at the same pricing braket. Any of you local are thinking to get one and want to try it your self, you are welcome to borrow my demo.

Yes, I understand this offering is not for every body. I really appreciate if we can keep it as civil as possible. I'm sure a lot of you understand why i'm saying all this.

So here are some of the pictures that i did for a tour player and one of my personal 60*.

Thank you !

Cheers!

joe

I am glad to see you involved with this.

The whole grind deal confuses the crap out of me, I much prefer how you and I talk about wedges.

We talk about the type of shots I hit, the divots, the tragectory and what I expect when the ball hits the green. THEN YOU TELL ME WHAT TO PLAY.

This system works and I would not hesitate to do this by phone if I was in the market for new wedges.

This partnership peaks my interest in Scratch.

Maybe next season (2009)?

That 53 is freaking sweet..

Can you tell me about that grind?

My 53 is a "Diadic" 588, been in my bag for over 10 yrs.. might look to replace it if I can find something better.. so far there hasnt really been any contenders..

Joe,

Good to see you gets excited ! :)

Pure,

53* has a 12-13* bounce with blunted leading edge to prevent digging to quick ( especially for chip and pitch ), but yet the effective bounce will play a lot less due to the trailing edge cut make the sole a lot narrower for FULL SHOT swing. The toe and heel relief will provide less twisting motion during impact in a deep rough situation shots or during digging at impact. Especially on a good wedge players who trap their ball.

The other key important issue on good grinds are to make the wedge sits correctly event at address possition and yet still give a good nice feel of balance in our hand.

uh oh.. that sounds like something that could end up in my bag.. my problem with the diadic is that it digs really bad, i like to hit that trap shot you're talking about.. sort of a trap cut or knock down cut with a lot of spin.. but my 588 digs a lot.. sometimes resulting in hitting it high on the face.. or it'll kind of "catch" and twist in the fairway and take way too big of a divot.. i use a pretty aggressive move on this shot.. but it's also my favorite shot to hit.. my new ping's with the t-grind are perfect.. now my 53 has to be changed.. that one in your pic is pretty damn nice looking i'll admit..

We are very excited to work with Joe. Right now he is the only other clubmaker that we have approved for this program. The idea is to take some stress and workload away from Jeff but obviously only to find the people who can do the high quality grinding job that we have become known for. Keep up the great work Joe!!

Hey, great news Ari & Joe :clapping: :yess:

I will order a trio of Scratch TD wedges in March/April.

Will have to decide if Joe or Jeff will do the grinds - difficult decision, as both guys are master grinders........holy crap........tough choice here

Does this mean that Joe gets the raw heads directly from Japan and then grinds them at his place and then the heads will be shipped to the Scratch facility and have the final finish applied there ?

Definitely a nice extra touch to the already fantastic Scratch TD wedges :good:

WOW~~~

i need some advice with grinds myself

im trying to go to a 3 wedge setup, 47pw/52/57or58

im a DS type, going to use my 52 from anywhere between 50-110, im thinking 7*bounce would be perfect

now i need a sand/lob wedge combo, im guessing i would need about 10*bounce for bunker shots but need a grind to make it lay flat when i open the face for flop shots

what type of grind would i need to get this figured out??

I have been custom grinding my wedges since I started playing seriously in the late 70's. This is the best work I have seen. Makes me want to start playing again so you can grind me a new set of wedges!
