Wow! That's lot of stuff!!!!

But it is good to learn from you on what may be needed on a golf trip anyway so I will print this list and keep it just in case....

Glad to know I can help. You never know when you'll be out traveling and get stranded with only your golf bag. I'm pretty sure I could survive for a few days just using stuff in my bag.

8 Balls

A small plastic box of Black Widow Spikes

A small plastic box of Tees that used to be filled with Black Widow spikes (these are excellent cases for small items)

1 extra pith fork/cleat wrench

2 extra ball markers

1 Sharpie

Rain Hood

Rain Jacket

Rain Gloves

Rain Pants (only if rain is in the forecast)

Wintersof Gloves (Mid October – Mid April for Chicago weather)

Cell phone (ON SILENT!!!)

Wrist Watch

At least $50 cash (hopefully more after the round is over)

Credit Cards/ID’s

A Nalgene water bottle (they don’t leak, or at least mine doesn’t, it sweats though, any suggestions)

30 SPF Banana Boat Sunscreen

Yardage book

2 balance bars and a banana

A white bath towel (but I just put that over my clubs while I walk)

Chapstick

an extra pencil

Pretty standard I think. Still pretty heavy and I wish I could bear to leave the house with less in there because it feel pretty heavy after about 14-15 holes.

haha that is funny!!

man I played high school golf, and i know that I was trying to put the least amount of things in my bag as possible, any edge I can get I will take.

There are definately some things I think you could do without, or atleast have a bag that you like leave in the car while you play.

4 thermometers???

a bottle and a packet of sunscreen???

hand lotion??? well i guess if there is a foursome of ladies in front of you

a ruler??? couldnt you just use your putter grip?

I guess there really isn't as much in there as I originally thought but man that seems like a lot of stuff

goodness you folks like to put a lot of cr@p in your bags. haha I don't even walk and all I have in there is golf balls. I take 6 brand new when I go out and thats all I have other than clubs. Grab a couple tees from the pro-shop, glove in my pocket and I'm good to go. I play 5x a week like that and never really encountered a situation where I might need something else, even when I play tournaments I don't put anything else in there.

I carry my bag rain hail or shine and I play 2 or 3 times a week so I keep it as light as I possibly can. Things like ball markers and pitch mark repair tools I keep in my pocket. In my bag I will generally have,

6 Balls

3 Gloves

Handful of Tees

2 Pencils

1 Towel

1 Water Bottle (in summer I carry 2 water bottles)

Rule Book

If it looks like it might rain then an umbrella and rain cover

1 Tube of sunscreen (any time other than winter)

1 Tube of insect repellant (summer)

man I played high school golf, and i know that I was trying to put the least amount of things in my bag as possible, any edge I can get I will take. I play high school golf. i find the edge I have is always being prepared. (never was in scouts though). I don't look like an idioit having to ask to borrow a tee or a ball marker or a repair tool or a ball.

There are definately some things I think you could do without, or atleast have a bag that you like leave in the car while you play.

4 thermometers???I am notorious for getting sick while playing

a bottle and a packet of sunscreen??? Different SPFs; also, one goes on better in humid conditions :kewlpics:

hand lotion??? well i guess if there is a foursome of ladies in front of you You're Funny. Actually, I am very much a feel player. Soft hands are a must. That saying doesn't just apply to baseball.

a ruler??? couldnt you just use your putter grip? I Could, but why would I want to turn my club over and over to measure out seven feet when I could just use a ruler? It is more accurate and I don't look so stupid standing there trying to turn a club end over end. :D

I guess there really isn't as much in there as I originally thought but man that seems like a lot of stuff

I'm curious, do you have additional pouches, ditty bags, and cases that further organize the items in each pocket, or do you just toss everything in the pocket?

And do you have an additional "trunk organizer" or bag for your car, and if so, what's in that?

(And to be clear, I am not being sarcastic. I'm truly curious.)

So you carry 23 golf balls?

Are you asking me or Greenmachine?

'Cause if you are asking Greenmachine, then yes, 23 is my count also.

But if you are asking me, the only reason I would carry 23 balls is if I were really really bad. So again, the answer is yes.
