Anyone use one?
Anyone use or hit this model. I love the CS model but wonder if its face balanced or how much toe hang. How does it feel and what feedback can you give me with it.

Finally saw a single 35" Trinidad in the store yesterday. Tried it out and found it to be a bit softer and more forgiving than the mFGP I've been using. I've been thinking about getting an m1 for a bit more forgiveness, but I like the grooves and the Trinidad is much more affordable. Would have bought it if it was the right length and lie. Since I'm putting pretty well with my mFGP now after struggling all year, I'm not going to order one until my putting goes to pot again.

Unfortunately, I didn't check the balance or toe hang.

It is a pretty sweet putter.. I used to have a 34" Seemore m2w that I sent to have it reshafted with a straight shaft but the feel was worse for some reason and sold it.

The Trinidad does have a little bit of hang, probably in the 3 - 4 o'clock range, it is definitely not face balanced.

It feels really soft.

Ok, so I caved (since I had a credit anyways) and bought the Trinidad. Reason for the switch was I wanted to try something a bit more forgiving than the mFGP I've been gaming the past 2 years. Problems I've been having (besides my own performance) with the mFGP were alot of skidding on longer putts and leaving thin or off-center putts a bit short.

So, I figured a heel-toe weighted putter with grooves might help. SeeMore doesn't make an m1 with grooves, so the Trinidad is the best candidate.

I've played only 9 holes and a few short practice greens sessions, but here are my thoughts.

Customization: I cut it down to 33" and put an Iomic putter grip on it. Spent a few sessions bending it flatter to get the lie correct. I think I'm almost there, but I have to try it on the green one more time to finalize it. I think the Island series takes a bit more effort to bend the lie since it doesn't have a visible aluminum hosel like the 2-bars, but maybe it's hidden.

Feel: Definitely heavier than the mFGP at ~345g. Swings heavier too, but I've adjusted to it pretty quickly. The muni greens I normally play are rather slow, so it will be interesting to see how I putt on nicer courses with faster greens. Definitely a softer feel, most likely due to the grooves.

Performance: So far, I think it is better. On the 9 holes I played, I only left one putt short (bad read), didn't over hit any and lipped at least 3-4 one putts. I'm not sure if the lip-outs are good or bad, but I think it is good, as I normally don't have that many 1 putts in 9 holes. Most importantly, the Trinidad was more forgiving and I got little skidding.

Biggest thing I miss: The SeeMore alignment system. I didn't think it would be a big deal, but I do miss it during use. I'm thinking of adding a red dot ala Newport 2.6 to make up for it. SeeMore, if you are reading this, you should make a grooved m1.

The Island Series is 303 Stainless and the hosel is not the 2 Bar aluminum so takes a little more effort. If the putter is left to lay in the sun for a few minutes it will heat up and be a bit easier to adjust.

I tell everyone bend one way ...one day. If you adjust too far give it some time to recover, then adjust again. If you're not using a loft and lie machine with a bending bar right on the hosel you need to use care not to bend the shaft at the top of the spud hosel.
