I have hated on titleist for a long time. I have always been a fan of bridgestone and callaway balls because they dont get the attention they deserve. But today when i got to the golf course i saw they had the new nxt tour on sale so i thought these things are so popular i have to at least give them a go. Well i assumed titleist was crap because i hear so much about the only reason so many people play them is out of habit and they have dead technology. I was wrong totally. I chipped in the first two holes with my titleist and discovered a short game that was good was now great. I totally underestimated how good a ball titleist makes. Im sold and i'm a convert. I have never felt so confident with my ball than i do now. Were the old nxt tours that great?

First of all, a Titleist ball on sale???!!!

I recently switched to the older version of the NXT Tour (07-09). I was playing at a new course that was heavily wooded ended up losing ProV1's on the first 2 holes. Not wanting to lose anymore expensive balls, I switched to the NXT Tour that my buddy had and played great the rest of the day. What I was really surprised with was how well these checked out of green side bunkers. Gained distance and am much straighter off the tee. Change in feel was minimal from the ProV1 and I don't care as much if I lose one! Only thing I miss about the ProV1 is its ability to stop quick on very short chips.

I too will admit that I was wrong as I hadnt played the NXT Tour since it came out in 03 (2-piece at the time) and had written it off since. Haven't tried the new 2010 version but am very happy with last years version.

The NXT tour is the most underrated ball.

marketing of those "other" companies is what it is, marketing.

Saw the club count at the Colorado Open this week, 10% other.....90% Titleist, at least on my starting tee.
