Putter / Puttee RX suggestions - putting success off of the toe

I am having problems putting. I play on greens that are fast and undulating. I can two-putt regularly, but one putting outside of 3-5 feet is a challenge. I am a left handed golfer who plays right handed. I am left eye dominant and tend to putt more with a stronger left arm. OK -- here is the really strange thing. I putt best off of the toe of the putter. I also do not like big mallets like the two ball. I currently am trying out 3 old putters and need to figure out a general style that will work best for me! I have an Odyssey CS 5 that gets the ball close (but not often in) from outside of 7 feet. This is my standby. I also have a complete toe-hang OLD Ping Zing 2 putter that I can visualize better with (but I tend to pull a little left -- will a bigger grip help?), and a putter with less toe hang, a Ping G5 Anser -- harder for me to make the close-in putts. I practice putting quite a bit but would love to have more success!!! Any putter suggestions ? I am open to a new putter but need to know what to go for. And why am I having more success putting off of the toe? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, I am going to simplify this a little. I am having problems putting and would like suggestions as how i can fix it! The easy fix is getting a new putter / but I also think something else might be going on. I regularly two-putt, but I sure would like to become more accurate. I am a left handed golfer who plays right handed. I am left eye dominant and tend to putt more with a stronger left arm. I am currently rotating 2 old putters - but I would be happy to replace either of them. My standby putter is an Odyssey CS 5 that gets the ball close (but not often in) from outside of 5 feet. I also have a complete toe-hang OLD Ping Zing 2 putter that I can visualize better with (but I tend to pull a little left -- will a bigger grip help?). I am considering a cleveland classic 4.5 (1/2 shaft offset). I practice putting quite a bit but would love to have more success!!! Any putter suggestions ? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!rolleyes.gif

Ow! Stop, you're hurting my head. sorry couldn't help myself.

Without seeing the stroke I'll generalize and say that the excess toe hang is causing you to over rotate the club head, hence the left tendency to your misses.

Are you consciously attempting an inside to inside arc stroke? The toe hits happen later on the arc so is a necessary bandaide.

Limiting the amount of rotation with less toe hang or perhaps a bigger grip may help.

I keep recommending the same thing for situations like this. Yes a new putter may help. However finding the right putter can take a lot of trial, error and cash. It may work today but what about tomorrow or what about under pressure?

Find a SAM PuttLab and have an analysis of your stroke done. From there we can talk about what you need.

You can search for SAM locations on the SAM web site http://scienceandmotion.com or PM me for additional info.
