Proper grip for iron play

how do you grip your irons?

I have been drawing (5-15yds) a lot of my iron shots lately and I think it has to do with my grip. I will get set and then readjust my hands right before take away and I think that is causing me to hood the club. I was wondering how you guys grip the club...hand placement. I start out middle of the shaft, but then kind of take a stronger right hand slide before take away.

Looking for suggestions. Also, do you guys play a forward shaft lean at all or do you keep the shaft aligned with your belly button.

Any help much appreciated.

Both V's created by thumb and 1st finger pointed right at right shoulder. Wagle the club and dump the re-gripping. My brother did the same re-grip and also his wicked miss was a hook. We got him simply bringing the club 2ft back on swing plain of few times for his waggle and he as cured. Regripping leads to bad things. You may not even know what your brain has "adjusted" at the last milisecond before you pull the trigger. Keep the hands quite. If ya got to move, move the whole club.

I grip just like Ben Hogan says to in his book. Its also the way my instructor taught me. Up until a few weeks ago I was fighting something between a hook and a draw. Left hand V should be pointing at your right shoulder and right hand V should be pointing at your chin. I had big issues with my right hand with too much palm facing up (read: able to see the tops of my fingernails. With the bad hand placement, my wrists were not breaking in line with each other and when my right wrist would break it would flip my shot left.
