How Earnings are calculated
Before Tournament Starts - full credit
On Day 1 (discount: 15%)
On Day 2 (discount: 30%)
On Day 3 (discount: 60%)

Here is how Winners are chosen, minus any penalty for changes:

1. Net Earnings

If Net Earnings are the same, then the system looks at:

2. Least Amount of Player Salary, the player's salary cap for the tournament. (Not Applicable in Major's Tournament)

If Least Amount of Player Salary is the same, then the system looks at:

3. Lowest Number of Picks by the user

If the lowest number of picks by the user is the same, then the system looks at:

4. The Earliest Timestamp of the user's last pick


Because this is recently modified system, we still have not determined whether there will be prizes (Set of Irons and possibly a Driver) or what they will be yet. If the system runs well, we will issue prizes. For international winners, all shipping and duties will be the winners responsibility. Also, members accounts must be in good standing or will face disqualification. All judgments by ownership are final.

When I start to select a player, it says there is already a 60 percent discount.

For anyone who picked early and those picks are showing day 3 and 60 percent discount, try deleting the picks and then pick the same players again.

Yes that did work...I deleted and did the picks again and now it shows picks enetered before and no discount.

Hello GX Golfer - thanks for running these, I find them really good fun.

Little problem with the PGA Championship competition due to the fog delay.
Amended a pick of mine before the end of the 2nd round, but which is actually now on day three of the tournament becuase of the fog delay. I have been deducted 60% from this players earnings which is the third day penalty which I think is incorrect as it should have been deducted the second day percentage as round 2 has yet to finish. The time that the 60% deduction kicks in needs to be adjusted to the start time on day three of the third round, other wise the system will have not worked fairly.

Hope this makes sense and by all means PM me if you would like further explanation.

The rules are pretty clear. You change your picks by midnight of each [u]day [/u]of the tournament. Not after each round ends. There is even a countdown clock for the temporally challenged. The second round ended on day three so 60% off.

Hi Marigo
Being temporally challenged obviously gives me the ability to see through the flaws in your rules or perhaps the ability of your software. If you took a step back you would see that your system would be more accurate and if you adopted a clause around delayed copletion of rounds which is clearly what the % deductions were supposed to relate to.
Perhaps also you could answer a civil question from a WRX member without suggesting that they may be missing the odd brain cell or two... Great advert for charter members eh?

In the past it usually takes a couple days to get the preliminary tally. Then about a week to verify, finalize, and announce winners.

Anybody pick Kaymer?

Figured I had it in the bag since I had Kaymer from the beginning. Guess others thought the same way as I. Sixth is my best finish in these contests though, so happy about that. Maybe I'll win a broke in half GolfWRX tee or something.

No special method. Which players are playing well, have the game to contend, etc. Don't just pick who "analysts" like Andy North and others on ESPN pick, though. They know no more than any of us.

This was my first challenge. I finished 7th. Although I doubt I won anything. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It definitely made watching the tournament more exciting. I hope this site continues to do this. I would like to see this for every tourney.

I always really enjoy it. I always seem to finish high up but never can finish first. I hope they can do it for all the majors, i never seem to remember a Masters Pick 'Em
