Callaway Tour i(s)

According to callaway, it is supposed to be super-low spin on driver shots as well as the great spin around the green. Is this true? Anyone with any thoughts or opinions on this ball would be great!

Yep that is how I found it. Much nicer than the earlier Cally Touri ball.

I have a heap of Tour One's so sticking with them but if I didn't I'd consider a switch.

Thanks! Will probably buy a dozen tomorrow. Have been playing taylormade tp black's as of late. Does anyone have any other opinions or comments on the Callaway's?! Or maybe the I(z)'s or Z Star X's?

I just tried the following balls. 8 handicapper, 112 swing speed average off swing speed radar device. My perceptions.

Z Star Soft feel off all clubs, high ball flight, puts nicely (softest by a smidge over V1)
ProV1 Soft-Mid feel off all clubs, mid-high ball flight, puts nicely (soft)
ProV1X Mid feel off irons, Mid-Hard feel off driver, mid-high ball flight, puts nicely (Soft, perhaps a smidge more firm than V1)
I(z) Mid feel off irons, mid-hard feel off driver, mid ball flight, little harsh off the putter for me (hard)

All good balls really IMO. Just depends on what you want for feel, spin, trajectory. I believe I will not purchase I(z)anymore though as it is a bit clicky off the putter for me and I'll skip on the Z-Star as well because it is a bit too high into the wind. Right now I prefer the ProV1X/ProV1 depending on the day but have not tried I(s), Z-starX or Penta yet. Callaway is nice in the wind though!

I love the Tour I(s)! Ive played that ball all year but just bought a dozen pentas so ive played them the last 2 rounds and there great as well. The I(s) has amazing spin on wedges and irons but still goes off the driver and is pretty darn straight

I received a promotional sleeve of the Tour i(z)s and did not like their feel off the putter. It felt very clicky off the face -- a different feel for a premium ball. I've heard nothing but great things about the i(s), though.

Just bought a box of the i(s)'s.. The ball i have the most complaints about is the Taylormade TP Black, one little wedge shot can destroy the cover on one, the least durable ball i have ever played.. The i(s) on the other hand has great durability.

I play the Callaway ix or iz, and prefer either to the i(s). The hex dimple pattern really helps in the wind. I really don't like the ProV1 because it spins way too much off the driver for me, so it is significantly shorter than the Callaways. The ProV1x feels dead to me, but I would choose it over the ProV1.

I think the tour (I)s is probably the best ball on the market in terms of distance and spin. Followed by the prov1, then by the b330s

+1 - I agree with everything in this post. The ix & iz are both great wind balls.

I only play the i(s) on par 3s because I get too much spin and height with them on driver shots. They are fantastic everywhere else but when hitting driver I much prefer the Z-Star X, TP Red or i(z). I stay away from Pro V1s because I shred them with my wedges.

I have played both i(s) and i(z): i(s) med driver spin, med spin off irons, very high spin off wedges, soft off putter. i(z) low spin off driver, low spin from irons, med-high spin from wedges and firm off the putter. Durability goes to i(s) over i(z).
