Longest ball for high speed swing?

Hello all,

 

I'm wondering what the best TOUR ball would be for a high swing speed driver like myself who still wants greenside spin but also wants a few more yards off the tee. I read the forum topics that said play HX hot, etc but would like a ball that I can score with. Currently I play with a Callaway Tour IX and although I'm hitting it much bigger than normal balls, I'm always curious if there is a ball out there that can give me 10 more yards or more... .. My swing speed is between 122-129.9 (as measured at Roger Dunn). I plan to grab the balls recommended here and do a distance test with them out on the local course here.

Agreed. A 10 yard gain between balls is a lot and likely not out there. Have you tried the Nike One Tour D or TM Black LDP? These have been the longest urethane balls for me.

I've always found the ProV1X to be as long as any premium ball for me, but I think any of the high swing speed tour balls would work for your swing speed. The Z Star X and regular B330 would be good balls for your swing speed.

Ive played the 1x and Penta this year and recently found that the Tour D is so much longer.

Have you tried the i(z) yet? It may be a little longer but you're already playing what's probably the longest "tour" ball out there.

I have played the tour IZ and didn't notice any gains in distance when compared to the IX. In fact I did a small test on the course by hitting four golf balls 2 IX and 2 IZ. Two balls were hit well and were within two yards of each other, with the IX actually gaining the upper hand. Thanks for all the suggestions as I haven't tried the other balls mentioned. I'll give them a shot.
