This putter is a half shaft offset and sets up perfect. 71 degree lie and 3 degrees of loft...Made out of carbon steel and comes with a Byron Golf Design Handmade headcover...

What's up with that neck? It looks really cool and skinny. Does it change the balance?

Milled carbon steel hosel ,5 o`clock toe hang and cool... This putter is elegant with with super feel..This is the way a welded hosel should look.

Is that a polished finish? I can't tell if it is blued or just raw polished. Love the look of that gem. The blade style is somewhat similar to his MO model, another of my favorites. I had a nice High Beam MO-T for a while that he custom hoseled for me, a few years back. Putted great with it, but sold it in a fit of change, I think.

That hosel is sweet. His hand made creations are as good as any out there. I want to get a second one, but have my mind set on a Mills, next. Gotta make sure I have one from each of the "lesser knowns" before they wind up Big Time like Scotty.

Thanks for the pics and for your promotion of Byron. He truly is one of the "Good Guys" in the putter business.

I love the face on that thing....It looks like I'm going to be in his neck of the woods next week and am hoping to pay him a visit......I'll be shocked if I leave his shop without getting another putter.....Thanks for the pics....

Looks like the face was milled with an end-mill as opposed to a carbide insert cutter. Is this correct Z-Man?

Byron is very old school ,a mastercraftsman in a cookie cutter world. Think of Byron as a Violin maker in the middle ages. Every putter is a piece of art. Handcrafted by him and admired by many..You are correct..

It does look somewhat like the old school Mills putters,a little bigger and beefer and 365 grams. I still love the old handmade putters made by Tad Moore,a name we have seemed to forget about .. A super person who still makes great putters. The TP Mills putters are outstanding and David is making great putters on his own... I like Dave Curry putters,classic shapes with a new twist.,..We need to spread the word that there is more than one outstanding putter maker in the world. A few who still polish all of there stuff by hand one at a time..But I think Byron is the Man and I`m spreading the word...

don't worry, I wasn't flaming you or Byron. It is a new twist and I like the increased weight to the heads, wish the neck looked more substantial. Back in the day when T.P. made One's, it was very difficult to make heavier heads and they weren't in vogue.

 

David polishes all by hand, too.

I think the pictures are deceiving. The neck is bigger than it looks .I took pictures of 2 other Byron handmades and they ended up looking skinny. The hosel is bigger than the old pencil necks .

I was referring to where the hosel meets the head, it seems to be narrower there than at the top, almost tapered, but it might be from the angle the picture was taken.

 

The pencil shafts insert into the hosels, unlike this one that is a big bell shaft over hosel. I like the way it looks, I was just commenting on the hosel where it meets the head.

You are correct. the hosel is tapered.Byron uses many different neck and hosel variations on his handmades.
