TM Putter + Ball = Too soft

What to change??

I picked up a TaylorMade Mezza Monza Center Shaft w/o AGSI the begining of the summer because I liked the feel at the shop. I was playing the HX Hot ball and liked the overall feel on the course. I have recently been playing the Pro V1 and have tried the TM Black and like the feel of those better with my irons, but on the green the combo seems too soft. I leave lots of putts short and when I try to hit one to get it to the hole I drill it past. Because I am focusing so much on length I am hitting more and more putts off center which it also not helping.

Can someone recommend a putter with a slightly harder face that might work well with the above mentioned balls.

You know, I have that same putter, and have recently had problems putting with it (the exact same problems as yours), but those problems showed up at about the same time I switched from a 2 core to a 3 core ball. I wonder if that's it... I had never thought of that...

 

I will switch back and see if that makes a difference. I would be interested in what others have to say on this as well.
