I use yellow balls to practice my 'bunker play' in the snow. I tried it a few times when I had 4 am tee times and it was pitch black out. Helps to see the ball a bit better. That's about it though. Nothing against the balls, I think they are good if you can get over the color. Definitely easier to spot.

I've been using the Srixon Z Star X Yellow for a while now and really like it. I wish there were more decent golf balls of color. I'm pretty happy with the Srixon, but I will probably give the Wilson ball a try, when the 6 dozen balls I just bought run out.

If more people buy into it, then others would follow. Not sure Titleist would, but you know TM would in second if they thought there was a market for it other then just being gimmicky. Wait, isn`t that TM thing, gimmicks! Look for a new TM ball featuring MWT, MDT (movable dimple technology), and MST (movable spin technology) in the coming months...

Back in the late '80s when I started playing I used orange Titleist DT90s (when the DT was Titleist's best wound surlyn covered ball) for many of my rounds. They also made them in yellow. Both colors sold reasonably well at my local pro shop.

A friend of mine got a dozen of the Srixon Z Star X Yellow and did not like them. While he did not like their feel, I thought the yellow color was too faded and washed out, unlike the intense yellow (new tennis ball like) of yellow balls back in the '80s.

Agreed that the color is too faded. But I guess they wanted that over the mini putt looking ball in bright yellow. I`ve tried out the Z stars, and while they were ok balls, I still prefer my One Tour D`s.

I don't know about any one else but I have a hard time picking these balls up in flight. I was playing with a guy that was using these balls on a little overcast day. I could see them right off the drive but once it got about 100yds out I lost it every time. It was very easy to find in the fairway or rough but I could not see it off the drive once it got over the horizon. Just my 2 cents.

I bought some Srixon ZStar X yellows this summer to mess with my buddy I play league with. I ended up playing them the rest of the year, and just ordered 2 more dozen since they are 2 for $60 now. These balls are just great all around, durability is second to none for a premium ball and they are nearly impossible to lose no matter how deep in the junk you hit them. (Ask me how I know) I love not having to wander from ball to ball after driving trying to see which one is mine also.

Been using the Srixon Z-Star yellows for a while now...and I'm sticking with them! Earlier this year Golf Digest did a test most top balls the Srixon Z-Star not only rated highest but the spin rate with irons was #1...behind the ProV1's I USED to play. Also, the yellow is far easier to see and fun to use!

Yep, me too. I love the Z-star yellers. My favorite ball by a long shot. Something folks don't talk about, I love how these balls putt.
