Did every guy on Tour plus his 4 Scottish half brothers play a 975J or what?
Looks like it. I saw Jerry Pate using one as recently as a couple of years ago

Any pics of Boom Boom & Ernie's Lynx Parallax irons?

They were somehow good enough to bag a couple of Majors

Not forgetting Ernie was the first player to break 70 in all four rounds of the Open with a set. Back in 1993 at Sandwich. A pretty decent set of irons for a cast club, but signing Ally McCoist to be a "staff" player a few years ago sounded the death nell for Lynx.

Yeah, that's bordering on the ridiculous. Mind you, could've been worse; might have been Walter Smith..

As for more Parallax magic, I recall Ernie shooting an insane 61 at Emirates GC in the '94 Desert Classic, although 21 smooth strokes with his Anser 3 certainly didn't hurt

I can't recall whether he and/or Freddie actually ever used the 'Boom Boom' driver. I have a feeling Ernie had the 3 wood in his bag for a while

I reckon you'd pick up a set of Parallax & a couple of Boom Boom woods for under £50 today. Indian not the arrow comes to mind.......

Why am I not surprised that 75% of the bags are stocked with Hogan irons :D:D:D:D
More like 35% of the bags had Hogan irons in them, still impressive though. Amazing how many pros used offset GI type irons.

Bag Setup - changes too often to bother listing

The 7.5* of loft may have something to do with it... all told, that combo is a little bazooka. Here's a question fit for this thread: any prominent pros play those Tommy Armour 845s? Those things were pretty clean... standard cast steel, cavity back, not unlike the Eye 2s, etc.

Lots of pros played the 845's for awhile, including DLIII, Calc, and maybe Freddie. Great clubs kind of the first players cavity that gained prominence. One of my favorite clubs of all time.

In the vein of this thread, Steve Jones was spotted on the range at PGA West rockin' a TaylorMade 360 driver: http://www.golfweek.com/news/2011/jan/17/bob-hope-classic-steve-jones-makes-surprise-appear/?BLOG-TourBlog

The 6-foot-4 Jones still hits the slight draw that helped him beat Davis Love III and Tom Lehman at Oakland Hills. He's still getting used to the latest equipment, though.

About a dozen clubs lay on the ground near his feet as he hit balls Monday. He had to change to an iron set with conforming grooves for the Hope. He still had his TaylorMade 360 driver, a club that's about a decade old, in his University of Colorado stand bag in case he couldn't find a new driver to his liking.

"My putter is 29 years old," he said. "There's a lot of different technology."
