Wanting a new driver, would you wait for the Cleveland or, grab the burner 2.0 tp now?
[/quote]

Why not demo what's available now and then compare it to what's coming out in the next few weeks? It'll eliminate the guessing game and hopefully save you some money in the meantime.

It's sounds to me like he may have a problem with impulse buying. It's a common thing around here, but it keeps the BST cycling nicely.

Do yourself a favor and wait until next weekend and go try the new Cleveland. Don't fall into all the white hype. Cleveland should and will get more run starting next weekend. I'm an impulse buyer myself but after I hit the R11, SF 2.0, Titleist 910F and H I left the store empty handed. Felt weird.

Very Interesting, I DO have a problem with impulse buying however, I have hit the burner 2.o tp driver and I did like it but, what could it really have over the previous superfast tp that I own? And the new Cleveland drivers are going to have the "miazaki?" shafts in them which blow the stock TM shafts out of the water. Anyway, I guess I will wait .....beee.gif

Good call on waiting. I don't think the SF 2.0 has anything on the SF. Just go out and paint your SF a dull white and call it even. Can't wait until next weekend. :good:

The new Cleveland drivers are available up here, and I think they are going to be one of the sleeper hits this year. All of the models sit square with the exception of the 270 draw, and they are loooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggggg and feel great.

These are their best drivers since the Launcher 400/460 days, and I will likely end up with one in my bag this year.

I can do a fair comparison as I just finished my second round this morning with the 310TL 9.5 with stock Miyazki. I also own a Tm Superfats TP 10.5 with Matrix HD Stiff.

First, I like the TM Superfast TP a lot. It has served me well but my son has recently begun playing and it has found his way in his bag. In my experieince the Cleveland 9.5 launches about the same as the Superfast TP 10.5. Distance is comprable as is forgiveness. Good role out with both once they hit the ground. The Myazaki in the Cleveland is authentic and not a made for. Feel, dispersion is excellent.
Based on two rounds I would say that once more get their hands on the Clevelands you will begin to hear great things. For a $299 price point it will be hard to beat. I should also add that I picked the Cleveland up after returning an R11 TP with Blur shaft. The R11 did not even deserve to be in the same bag as the Cleveland in my opinion and at $499 for the stock Blur (BLAH!) and over $600 with an upgraded shaft (Fubuki, etc) there is no comparison.

Update, I hit a TL 310 on demo today and, yes I agree it is every bit as long as my superfast tp and it sure is smoother! I will say it is not the best looking club but, I dont care! I also hit the R11 and, I did not like it enough to buy it. I really liked the look and feel of the 2.0 tp but, I just know I will kick myself later for being inpatient so, I will let myself wait the several days and, then go get a new cleveland.

How is the sound and feel? Does it sound like the 09 or 10 model launcher? Thanks Also when you hit it is it harsh or a soft feel not sure if I'm explaining that right?

The sound and feel is much like the Launcher 460 IMO. Very solid and not tinny like the more recent Cleveland offerings.

Just hit the SL290 in the bay today and I must say, it felt real nice off the face. Felt a bit softer off the face than my Supertri. Closest I can think of is like my FT-9 Tour, but not as muted. Not as muted as the MP-600 either. Definitely not as hard as the TMs.

Cleveland is having an outside demo day / fitting tomorrow at my local muni, so I can't wait to try it out. Just hoping it doesn't get rained out!

After much deliberation between the SL290 and TL310, I ordered a SL290 today.

Should be here in a week or two. :partytime2:

Went to the demo day today...in the rain. Hit the following:

Hit all three drivers in R flex. Ball flight again confirms that I have no business hitting anything longer than 45.25". Got good numbers with the 270 and 290, but both faded lots. Picked up the 310 and first shot is straight, but a knuckleball that just dies, LM says 1700 spin. Rep says hold on a sec, goes to the van and comes back with a AD333 ball. Hit that sucker straight, spin 3000, LA 14.5, 218 carry (be nice, I've only got a 90-95 SS). Hmmm, nice. Must be the range balls. Hit another, similar results. Rep suggests a 290 (for a tad more forgiveness) with the 53 Miyazaki. Unfortunately, they don't have custom builds for demo. Grrrrr............... I forget to ask him if I should shaft that puppy up at 45.25 or 45.75, but my guess is 45.25"

Hit the FL fairways, 13, 15 and 19. Surprisingly, I can get the 13 off the deck with decent height. But, I'm getting a great flight out of the 15. Mmmm, nice. Been looking for a lighter 3W than my R9. Ask if they can be bent flatter (I'm short). Sorry, only if you are on tour. But the rep says try this, it's adjustable, but it's a stiff shaft. New Srixon 3W with adjustability ala R9. New Dromos shaft to boot. Ooo-lala. Hit it a few times. Shaft definitely too stiff for me. Nice flight, but it doesn't feel as nice as the Clevelands. Hit the 19. Oddly, this thing flys just like the 15, not anywhere near my normal 5W height. Pass on this one.

Next move to irons. Hit some new forged Z Star pocket cavity. Looks like some tin casting, but it says forged. Must be a 701 replacement. NS Pro 950 stiff shafts. Hit it a few times. Ick. Big shovel that feels like poo. I normally hit NS Pro 950 stiffs ok, but prefer R. Hit the Z-TX. Nice, but DGR300 are too heavy for me now. GO take a look at the CG16 irons. Don't look to bad, but only have the DGs in them, so I pass.

Hit the cg16 54* wedge. Feels just like a cleveland wedge. But doesn't have that stupid CG15 shape. Nice, but I'll stick with my Callaway X-Tours.

So, the result is I'll probably just get a 310 and let it have a go against my SuperTri. I'm not sure the 290 with the 53 will feel right at a 45.25", but I'll ask another fitter and see what he says. My guess is he'll have no better info and I'll have to make the decision, unless I can do a return.

I'll probably get the 3W as well, but I need to see how it matches up against the Fast 11.
