Weight lost was 2.3 grams. I try to keep weight loss minimal when refinishing one. I take time reshaping then sand minimally.

The paint is Tamiya X-acrylic.

Another thing, should I remove the paint fill now before I add new paint? And if so how should I remove that paint?

I always remove it. As long as there's no insert that's not metal (odyssey's white hot for example) I use aerosol. If the finish is a paint or polymer, it'll eat it. The product? Tal-Strip aerosol. They also make a liquid I use sometimes when I need to control where it goes better. The reason for removing is because it'll bleed if you don't.

Yes, all paint is acrylic, I've used it for years and never had any peel, chip, crack, etc, and that's on wedges, irons, putters, everything. Works great. Application is key. I use needle tipped bottles and syringes (they're more fine for really tight areas) and use the acetone wash method and a heatgun to cure it on top. It'll cure all the way through overnight.

Be careful of that Teryllium (Beryllium) particulate. It's pretty dangerous stuff if you manage to breathe or ingest it.

Huh....I thought it was an alloy of copper and beryllium, like the Ping BeCu. They did both came out around the same time.

So what are the four allen screws on the back of the insert actually attaching to? They can not be seen from the back of the finished putter, so what exactly are they holding on to?

They go through the holes in the back, which have a small lip on them, and screw into the insert. They keep the insert in place.

Got it done today. Gun blue didn't come out as dark as I wanted, but the scratch came out, and it looks good other than that. Thanks for the help!

I'll try to get the pics back up. Forgot to restore them when bandwidth was exceeded for the month. I didn't resize those so they ate up a ton of it. I'm also doing a TeI3 Longneck Newport right now. The blackening is sitting on it as I type.

Sorry I didn't get the original pics fixed. But, I do have a few more of a different Longneck I'm almost finished with(gotta do paintfill tomorrow). It's a second gen, elastomer track TeI3 Longneck Newport. Check it out. And I promise I'll try to get the other pics working tomorrow, I have to be at work in 4.5 hours. This one took a little work too, had a homemade siteline cut in the topline I had to remove.
