Im pumped. Been beating buckets after buckets and I bit off more than I can chew with my HC-1 PNTS. Just not enough spin and launch. But going to a 4-pw setup and got the M3 83 ordered....

I also went out a couple of weeks ago to buy a couple of 910H's to match up with my gorgeous 910 D3 and after reading the reviews of the Mashie thought I would give them a swing while I was there....Well needless to say I walked out with the M2 & M4 with the standard 59g S shaft, the Mashie easily outperformed the 910H and that was with all the different stock shafts/flexes on the Titleist...Avg. carry was about 12 yards longer and the launch was nice and high something I have never really been able to achieve with my previous hybrids(nickent/ping) or the 910H...Anyhow, had them out at the dome today and they really are the real deal, now my buddy who tried them out today has his sights set on a couple for himself...And the best part is they are about $100 cheaper than the 910H so I saved a couple hundered bucks which I used towards the purchase of a new Scotty I picked up while I was there...Cant wait to get to Myrtle Beach in a couple of weeks to give them a full test drive.

Anyone know how long it takes to get an 83 after it's ordered? I need a countdown.

plan on 5-10 business days to get it in hands, all depends on where you live, FedEx ground is 4-5 days to me.

I can't wait to hit these after hearing all of the hype. The only question it seems to be is how many to put in the bag!!!
Funny you should mention that...

I've actually been thinking about trying out the 15.5 degree considering how easy it is to hit the other lofts.

It's on the spring "to do" list.

I can't wait to get on the launch monitor to compare the 15.5 to a new 3 wood. It might be the ticket!!

My mashies were delivered today unexpected. I got a backorder email but sure enough they showed up. I ordered an M2 and M4 with the 83g X shafts. Glad I will be able to get my mashie on this weekend.

Looking forward to hearing your review. Keep us posted! :good:

Judging a book by its cover eh? :welcomeani:

I did a fitting a couple weeks ago and I handed a guy the mashie..he said, "nope don't like this one, let me try the Srixon." before i took two steps, he hit one ball and said "hold on, dont bother, order me a 2 mashie and 3 mashie."

The look of the Mashie is certainly not for everyone, but man the numbers are good.

I agree with the comments above, "don't judge a book by its cover". Look at all the different putters on tour some of them are fugly as well but he if it works it works. Also think of it like this when you are in the rough or the trees would won't mind the nicks that show up on the club!!

Cleveland has a real winner on their hands here! I hope they have enough stock to keep up with all the rave reviews. Cleveland is in for a big year especially with the Miyazaki shafts across the line!

This is the best hybrid I have ever hit and I have hit alot of hybrids last year I went thru about 20 different combinations and finally got tired of trying and just put the 3 iron back in the bag. Can't wait to try the 15.5 the 18 is long and straight with a great hybrid ball flight for me.

is this easy to hit off the ground? Does it get the ball up quick/easy?
This is what I menitoned in the very firt post...
Performance/playability:

I will start out by saying that the Mashie has been the very first club to knock my existing hybrids out of the bag for the first time in years. Yes, I'd try new ones all the time, but would always come back to what worked the best for me. Enter the Mashie...

This hybrid has quickly turned into my "go to" club due to its versatility. I first started hitting the club from the fairway and realized how easy it was pick from such a tight lie. The ball jumped of the face and quickly got into the air producing a fairly high ball flight.

Next, I moved into a medium length rough and was amazed how effortlessly it was to get the ball out that fast yet still generate a nice high trajectory. The stock Miyazaki 59g shaft is a key factor in this, however it got me thinking about playing this on windy days. The last thing I want is a high ball flight with the wind howling in my face. Fortunately, Cleveland is offering an 83g version of the shaft with a slightly different kick point to lower the trajectory. This option will be custom order only and will be available March 1.

Finally, I took some time around the green with the Mashie and hit quite a few bump and runs. Generally, this is not a shot that I would typically play, but the control I had with such a short distance was unbelievable. I actually lost track of time while testing because I was having so much fun!

Has anyone been able to compare the stock 62g Mashie with the 87g version? The 62g shaft is described as a mid-high launch with 3.6° torque. The 87g is described as a low launching shaft with 2.9° torque.I've hit the 62g version and really like it.It's certainly a high launcher with lots of spin, but I love the feel and the accuracy.I'm about to buy it, but am curious about the 87g. Wondering how much the 87g will bring down the launch angle and spin? Also wondering whether the head itself is more responsible for the launch and spin characteristics? Maybe I'll just buy both, for the price being charged!
