the few times i have hit this shaft it seems like it plays a lot like proforce V2 but feels smoother with slightly less spin. has anyone else found this?

I'm considering possibly picking up an Adams 9064 with this shaft in it. Is Adams putting in the real deal shaft or might there be some diffences between what you can buy and what comes stock with the Adams driver?

I have same question. Curious about the RIP alpha 60 shaft in the 9064 LS driver, is this real deal? how do people like the stiff version playing 45.5 in this driver. I've always played 45 and am hesitant to go to 45.5.

I own the 9064ls and i can tell you this shaft is the real deal. it doesn't seem like adams likes to put made for shafts in their clubs. like you i have always played 45" shafts and was worried about the change to the 45.5 but it was well worth it i no longer have to worry about any slices with this shaft and driver head . just long baby draws now.

Great shaft but plays like a NV shaft to me which is great too - just a lot cheaper.
[/quote]

No way, the RIP & the NV are night n day. The RIP is a much more solid/longer/better feeling shaft than the NV. The NV & the RIP aren't even in the same league, 2 totally different shafts.

I am looking into the alpha, beta and gamma RIP shafts. I was wondering which one to go with. I currently play the NV in all my woods; driver 65s, 3 wood 75s and hybrid 85s. My swing speed is 100-102mph with the driver, fast tempo, mid trajectory, low spin, 7 hcp. I would like a hgher, more carry-distqnce ball flight in my driver and 3 wood. Any insight would be great as I am seeking out new woods for the season, and wanted info before I try to demo. thanks!

Got fitted yesterday for a Titlesit 910 D3 in 9.5 head mostly set b1 and c1. I am currently hitting a Matrix Oxik Xcon 82 gram x-stiff in a Adams LD Prototype head. I need a change to hit more fairways although when it is on the Adams is extremely deep. My goal is to hit more fairways and soften up the shaft and weight a bit without giving up too much distance. So I tried shafts mostly in the 72 gram stiff range. The shaft that produced the best numbers on the Vector (indoor net) was the Projext X 70 gram stiff(164 ball speed, 115 club speed, @13 degree launch with 1800-2300 rpm spin. However, I hit the RIP in the 60 gram stiff and my ball speed number jumped to 172 on 3 straight hits. They didn't have the 70 gram in the fitting bag but will have it in a few days. Through my experience, I am guessing the ball speed will stay relatively the same with the 70 gram versus the 60 gram but my spin and dispersion will tighten up, which will be good. We will see but at least I know the Project X accomplishes my goal. Can't wait to hit the RIP 70 stiff though because who wouldn't want an extra 8 mph of ball speed without changing their swing! Any ideas?

Liked the way it felt okay enough, not how it performed.. pulled it out of my 9064LS and installed an Oban Kiyoshi

Im actually pretty impressed with this shaft; never been an Aldila fan after trying the NV & Voodoo; but I opted to go with a RIP Alpha shaft in my R11 and so far Im happy with the overall feel and performance of the shaft. Its not as smooth as my Kai'li; but not still feels great and performs as I had hoped based on the shaft specs

I just tried a Callaway Imix RIP Stiff mated to an Octane 9.5. The head is pretty good, pretty long and forgiving. The shaft is the best I have tried. I want to use this shaft a with an Imix FT-IZ head. Do I need anything special to add it to that head? BTW I absolutely hated the Project X shaft in reg and stiff when mated to the Octane.

I have this in 70X for my 910D3 9.5 .... not a fan, even though I want to be. I can't tell if its the shaft or not but I prefer the NV, especially in my fairway woods. I can pipe those every day but this has no consistency for me at all. I was on a launch monitor with it and had astronomically insanely bad numbers like 11,000 RPM and still hitting the ball 280yds... I just spin it somehow too much. I like a shaft that has no wobble/play to it when you waggle at address (I hook the ball so it just makes me feel like it'll hook it more)... This shaft definitely waggles to what seems like a regular flex shaft even though on a frequency machine it is playing fairly stiff (just the kick point I guess). The NVs are amazing and I am highly contemplating getting one for my driver I just don't know which weight because they play around 83g and don't know if I should go lighter or keep it the same.

Anyone want a 70X RIP? haha
