Todd I asked on a different thread somewhere on this page if RJB can add the sound dots on my BB16H. Similar to what is on my 360TR. What will it do to sound and weight?

Sorry about that. I guess I never saw it. Sound slots are milled when the putter is being milled and cannot be added after a putter is completed. Sorry

NP, it's not really a sound slot. They are small dots all along the bottom/sole of the putter that don't go thru all the way. I also asked a few questions about a MC2 that I recently acquired in a thread about 2 days ago.

Lastly I asked about putter design. I noticed that some putters have ridges/grooves/lines on the neck/hosel while other don't. Are they there for aesthetic purposes or do they help with feel or a different design function altogether. I'll try to get some pcs up of what I'm talking about this weekend of both the sound dots and the grooves.

Thank you.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I did the same thing for my wedding putters and 911 putters. Those can only be done while the putter is actually being milled. The MC2 you got is awesome and you should enjoy it. It is made out of soft carbon with a black thunder finish and has the copper insert. The lines you see on the hozels is for looks and Bettinardi loves to change it up all the time. I hope I have answered all your questions. Thanks, Todd

Todd, beautiful putter! Just when I thought it was safe to say I had purchased enough blades for my collection! :clapping:

I'm amazed Bettinardi could get the weight up to 350grams in a blade and also with the sound slots. Did he use any internal tungsten weighting to get it up there?

Thanks for sharing it! :cheesy:

The putter is truly incredible. The weight is added in the face and that is why it has a thick top line.

Thank you for the reply. I'm putting the MC2 in play today and see how it goes. Wedding putters....just out of curiosity any pics of those. My 10th anniversary is coming up in 2 years pics might give me an idea.

Here are 2 putters that both have sound slots that go all the way through the putter. The Big Day has 18 because I got married on the 18th and the 911 putter has 11 because of the 11th of September:

In all things from boats to cars to golf clubs I have always found clean simple lines convey a functional and understated elegance. The BB2 is simply the standard to which all others should be compared. Thanks for posting the pictures.

Now how do I convince my wife that I have to have one just like it?

Nice putters Todd. What is the principle behind the sound dots versus sound slot? I like the feel of the dots better than the slot although my slotted putters aren't Bettinardis. Can you PM me cost of having putters made? I plan a Ping Pal4 for the wife and a Anser/BB 1 for me since those were the putters my wife and I were using when we first played golf when we weren't even gong out yet. I hope it's reasonable. I have 2 years to save up anyway.

To be honest, the dots and .5" slots feel the same as they are broken up. A full slot feels to tingy and pingy to me and that is why I went with the dots and the BB2 I have here with the .5" slots does the same thing.
