Well, after some time has passed, my apologies to Zman for not getting a review out sooner. I've been dealing with health issues that hasn't really allowed me to practice that much (although I did manage a couple of rounds :cheesy: ), but finally I did "work" at it for about a week.

Overall: I think it's a good concept practice aid, that is helping me to groove my stroke. As stated before I'm working on the Stan Utley method, so one of the exercises requires a "rail". One down fall is it's bulkiness and weight, not very easy to lug around unless you have long side pockets on your bag. Is it worth it? I say thumbs up, if you can get over the downside. :drinks: :cheesy:

I've come to the conclusion that the rail is good to get a sense of what a straight back/through feels like, but to me the effort to keep the putter shaft "on" the rail hindered me a little. Putting from 6 feet was automatic (using the rail), and I can feel the follow through (my biggest problem was pulling my stroke). When I was off the rail, I felt strange not having the putter shaft against the rail. So I changed the routine a little. I would set up normally, but not rest the shaft against the rail (off about an inch) and roll my putts that way. If I pulled (stroke out to in) my putt, the shaft would hit the rail letting me know my path is off. I switched positions so that the rail was on the outside to make sure that I wasn't pushing (stroke in to out) my putts.

I think that this device is superior to the putting arc (for me that is :cheesy: ) is that I don't have to "REST" my putter on the rail, if I chose not to. Now I imagine I COULD do that with the arc, but how would I tell if I'm going away from the rail? YOU CAN'T! But I degress, apples and oranges (straight back/through vs arc'ed).

Thumbs up to a great product! :cheesy: Hope this helps with those that are on the fence on purchasing one of these! Sorry about the overdue review.

PS: I average about 36 putts, 1-2 one putts offset by 1-2 three putts. I'm heading out this afternoon (new course for me) So I'll update on my progress to better putting!

Well I would love to report that I putted 18 times, well, that's not the case :fool: . First 9 had 16 putts (one 3 putt) BUT had about 3-4 lip outs! :drinks: :cheesy: :drinks: For a total 38 (36 was par) :cheesy: I was so frustrated from the lip outs that it put tons of pressure on my iron shots that the back 9, well, the hole looked the size of a quarter and no matter how much pep-talk I tried, my putting or should I say, my confidence wasn't there. Had 20 putts in the back uggggggg!!!! (another 3-4 lip-outs for a total of 6-8 lip outs). Course my iron shots went haywire too. OH-WELL. Total of 81 (which is around my NORMAL score). FRUSTRATING when the golf gods purposely toy with your ball so that it lips out of cup sooooo many times! Oh-well, back to the practice green I go!

I think anybody that has bought three putters should be on the top of the list especially if two were lefties and one was a righty...they must need lots of help!

OT: Paypal for 3rd putter coming tommorrow.
