Nike One Platinum

I was not a fan of earlier iterations of the One Platinum, or any Nike ball for that matter, but I got a hold of a couple of sleeves of the 2008 version and gave them a whirl. I was pleasantly surprised by the performance of this ball. I noticed significantly more spin compared to the other balls I am used to playing (Pro V1/X, Callaway iX), but not the distance loss I expected from gaining the spin. I lost maybe 5 yards off the tee but noticed no loss with my irons. Ball performs great with the short game as well. I feel like I have a bit more control over touch shots; it feels softer than the other balls I was using. I think I may start using this as my main ball, I am willing to sacrifice 5-10 yards of the tee for more control and better feel.

i'm currently trying to decide which ball to play, i've been playing around with pro v's all versions, set myself on the pro v1x, also been trying the nike one platinums too, i play off 6 but my strength is driving and short irons, i'm not impressed with these nike balls at all to be honest, yes their is great feel of them but they are at least a club shorter with all irons and a good 15 yards shorter on the driver, spin is insanley ridicuous i feel like i have no control on my 7-pw and my wedges are impossible to hit a full shot on.....i'd swear the ball almost comes back in the air. The ball for me is not as good as the pro v1x but in saying that its an excellant ball on the green and fringe, you really can attack your line with chips, the ball just hops and stops even on short chips. I actually really like this ball of the putter which is strange for me cause i'm not normally bothered about what ball i put with but this is a great ball for long putts.....all in all apart from putting and fringe work i could easily pass this ball up.

Great ball, comparable to the pro v1x for feel and cover durability for me.
