My favorite course is The Quarry @ Giants Ridge in Biwabik, Minnesota.

 

Picked by Golf Digest as The Best New upscale Resort Course this year.

 

Spectacular course with some of the greatest holes you'll ever play! The 323 yd par 4 13th is the best short par 4 I've ever played!!

My favorites I've played

 

All time fav. Kapalua Plantation (played it twice, its the most beautiful by far and the views are out of this world). I can't wait to get there again some day.

 

Pebble Beach - Montery Pen, CA. Had it 2 over par on 18 tee , shot 4 over.

 

True Blue Plantation- Myrtle Beach, SC - see pic

 

Half Moon Bay- Outside SanFran

 

Salem Country Club, Peabody, MA. A great Ross course (pic attached)

Wow, where to start...

Remote Locals.

1. FourSeasons Golf club Great Exuma at Emerald bay, Great Exuma island, Bahamas. The entire back nine sits on a 1/3rd mile wide penninsula... WOW.

2. Cabo Del Sol Course Cabo San Lucas. Like Jack says, best 3 finishing holes in golf, especially from the tips,

followed up with the round at El Dorado.

3. White Witch Golf Course, Montego Bay, Jamaica. another WOW, and I played a couple holes behind Bill Murray and his brothers.

4. Plantation course followed by Wailea South course. Maui, Hawaii.

 

Stateside,

1. Pebble Beach... of course.

2. Coyote Moon, Truckee, North Shore tahoe, If you ever get the chance,1 of the best $ 100 course you'll ever play

3. Stevinson Ranch Golf course, stevinson, ca. in 20MPH wind... true links course at it's best.

I loved playing Olympic Club, but the course that remember most fondly is Spyglass. I agree with what was mentioned earlier, how the hell did Phil shoot 62?!?

Pacific Dunes, Bandon Dunes and Bandon Trails.

 

From the time you arrive, to the time you leave the resort, no other place defines golf as purely as Bandon. Even though I've been there about 6 times, I dream about returning every week.

Without a doubt, my favorite course having ever played is Emerald Valley in Creswell, oregon. I believe it's the home course for the University of Oregon. They have an incredible practice facility and some of the best greens I've ever played. For example, on hole nine, the green is elevated and slopes from back to front. From behind the hole, I tapped the ball of the toe of my putter and from 4 feet I putted it off the green. Firm/fast greens like those are a rarity in the PNW during the spring. It's a public course, so if you're near Eugene, i definitely recommend making the short hope south to Creswell.

i haven't had the opportunity to play alot of course, and the ones i've played are mostly kinda ho-hum...

 

but www.ironvalley.com is a sweet course... hard for a beginner for sure, but a real beauty...

Cassique is NOT harder than the ocean...unless you somewhow negate all wind and play the whites...Its like 7800 yards from the tips. For the better player, Cassique is nowhere near as difficult as the Ocean. However, for the mid-capper or someone who doesn't control their driver well, Cassique could have some teeth

Ocean isnt 7800, you are nuts. Cassique rivals Ocean, but neither are the toughest. The only defense Ocean has is the wind, and it doesnt blow all the time. After its renovations this summer, the River Course is the toughest on the island.
