New addition - 2011 TMX Stand bag. Walked 9 holes last night and this bag is great. Not the lightest but, great looking. Baby Staff bag!!

Very pleased with this set up. In the past there was always something that I compromised on. Not with this set.

If anybody is looking for a forgiving players club, you owe it to yourself to hit the TPCB. Great club and I have had R7 TPs and R9 TPs. These are closer to the look and performance of the R7 TP. Hit'em you'll love 'em.

New Kia Ma added. R11 3 wood w/ kai'li and 2011 Rescue 3/18* with a RIP 65 S. Probably looking to find a shaft to put in the Rescue. The RIP 65 is having mixed reviews! I have a Motore 80HB in my 4/22* and so I might lean that way.

A couple of things about the new putter. Script Rossa in the cavity and sight line on the top line only. Changeable weights like the 2010 retail.

Hey Steve, good to hear from you. Back to a full TM bag. It does feel more normal.

 

The Snake Eyes wedges are still around. Those wedges sure would tear a cover up! LOL

 

How do you like the r11/Kai'li combo? I have the 80 gram on it's way in the 14* head.

 

I really like the combo. You should love your 3 wood. Should be great of the tee and the deck.

 

Everything is wet and cold here in Indy. Warmest round has been in the mid 60's. So I can't wait for hot weather and drier conditions. Got 18 in on friday before it cut loose again. Several drives where next to their ball mark. No roll

I made the switch and went all TM, interested to see how u like the R11 with the kiyoshi, I have the 10.5 with the TP hd6 on its way. Went with the mc/mb combo, rescue TP 3, and the 14* r11 with the Kai'li. Cant wait for the weather to turn

The Kiyoshi is great so far. It is very wet out and I am not getting any roll right now but, I have hit more fairways this spring than last. It has been my dream shaft since it came out so to have R11 graphics and all, very happy. It is a bummer to really "nut" a drive and get to the fairway and and see the ball 2 feet from it's ball mark.

 

Sounds like you have a great setup on the way. I really wanted the MC irons but for me the CB were the way to go. I had a set of R9 TP 'B' 4-pw last summer and realized I ran out of talent at 7 iron. So no big Tour aspirations here just trying to shoot better scores. Yea!

Sweet bag. Love that TM Performance Lab staff bag and the Japan issue forged irons. How do they play? I tried to get a set but ended up a fake one. It all ended well cause I got my money back, but scared me off. Like that GWRX beanie baby as well.

Thank you for your comments. I get more interest out of the Performance Lab patch as anything that is actually in the bag!! I have tried to find another and haven't so I will just keep moving it to the next bag. The JDM irons are so sweet and I think the best looking TM irons ever. They are very soft and with the Nippon shafts are very responsive. The milled face I think adds to that. Wish I had never sold them.

Thanks. The irons are the biggest surprise to me. They are very forgiving. Almost like they are Burner 2.0's!!

A few quick updates. More pictures to come.

First, R11 3 wood on the sideline and Burner 2.0 3 wood in. Added a RIP Beta in stiff flex (thanks muxi87) and it is strong. Been on the course twice since the reshaft and it saved my bacon both times. Easily the highest launching 3 wood I have ever hit and yet 240 yd rockets are possible, if not probable! Pictures later.

Reshafted my TM CB irons. Not a fan of the Dynamic Gold XP so, I picked up some Penly Stealth 80 graphite shafts. So far so good. Gained back 5 or so yards that I lost with the XP's and they are pretty consistant. More on them soon.

The reason for the post is an experiment that has been a great surprise. Trying to make more putts, I picked up a TaylorMade mallet putter. A FO-72 Ghost Raylor to be exact. Had my best putting round in 2 years this past week. It has the Surlyn Pure Roll face and came with a couple nice EXTRAS. TOUR EXTRAS. White Tour only Rossa grip. I have the black version on my Kia Ma putters and love the feel. And last, Tour only Tour Preferred Ghost head cover. Very nice, have a look.

Gloomy day here in Indy. Thought that I could add some pictures of my new irons, putter and 3 wood.

 

Driver has stayed the same for the season. R11 10.5* it may be in trouble when the R11 S out. Kiyoshi shaft will the first to go in the R11 S head.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Burner 3 wood turned out to work better for me than the R11. Non TP so larger 200cc added a RIP Beta stiff. RBZ next?!? R11 Rescue hybrid is still in the bag. Upgraded to a Matrix Ozik Altus in stiff flex.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have tried a lot of different putters and right now this is the most consistent putter Odyssey Black Series #7 34"

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Tour Preferred CB are a nice club but, the R11 is better. 4-AW and stock KBS Tour 90 stiff shafts. I will regrip with my fav GP BCT cord ribbed grip over the winter. xFT wedges 54/58 combo now but, I ma drop the 58* and pick up a R11 3 iron or put my '09 Rescue 4h back in the bacg

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The TM Staff Stand bag is very nice. Might look to add a Cart bag for next summer. Adidas ATV White/Orange and Black/white. White/Green when available.

Thanks, I am pretty pleased with it. I realized that my "natural" putting stroke had just a little arc to it and it's easier to putt with a faced balanced putter. That is why all the Odyssey #7's and the Raylor from last year. I do love the look of an Anser, Newport or Daytona type head so, I also have a Ping Milled Anser #5 ready to be substituted into the bag. I am trying to have a full TM bag, if I can. I have been a single digit (8.1 index now) for a while and my biggest improvement area has to be putting.

Have a TM ATV 60* wedge coming pictures soon.

I really like it. After having insert putters for so long, I find it gives me a pretty good roll. Has to be the deep milling. Are you still using yours? I replaced the original grip with the retail ghost grip and like that grip quite a bit. Great soft feel.



Now if only TaylorMade would throw my some love. It would make this a whole lot cheaper!
