Almost any rock. I'm also starting to have a guilty pleasure for rap and hip-hop stuff (some of it anyway- Chamillionaire is awesome, Ne-yo, stuff like that.)

I usually LOVE bands that play some kind of rock/emo/hardcore with new elements in it (takes risks and stuff, not just the same song over and over again with singers that sound so generic)

Favourite bands include Coheed and Cambria, 30 Seconds to Mars, System of a Down, Alexisonfire, My Chemical Romance, New Found Glory, Atreyu, among many others.

lol yeah I guess they do a bit, but meh, they're an exception I guess. Besides, they take a lot of risks with their writing and have some variety (even though they use the same chords the whole time and make it sound a bit different lol)

Anything from North Star and Cassino to the Movie Life and Head Automatica, Jack's Mannequin and Mew to Dashboard Confessional and Mae, some pregame hockey music is stuff like Mudvayne, Sevendust, and anything just to get you going. I've been liking some country lately but NEVER rap, R&B, reggae or anything like that..but rap at dances is indeed great if you know what I mean haha..some old school bands like The Eagles and The Cars are cool too.
