It's the best ball in golf, simple as that.

I found a sleeve of Tour Balata's in an old bag. I must say, i've never seen so much spin on greens in my life. The distance was far shorter then the Pro V1x's, but thats to be expected. They definitely punish you if you're not a straight swinger.

A long time prov1x user, I picked up a sleeve of NXT Tour to play a 50 degree round, and the ball, at least in cold weather, is sneaky long. I was very impressed. My wedges could get a tennis ball to check so I didn't notice any problems with short game spin.

Haven't tried the new ones. Only ever play them when they are give aways. Much prefer the Callaway or other premium balls.

Yes! ProV1's. Played two rounds with them Friday and Saturday. Still the best ball. :wub: Seemed to be better in the windy conditions than before. Best feel off the putter, ever!

I'm sort of an Titleist man, I love the ProV1's, irons, wedges and the Scotty stuff but besides the 975D driver i have never loved anything in their woods department, I tested most of it and really wanted it to work for me but I just prefer the Bridgestone, Sonartec and some of the TM and Callaway products on that front.

personally I play Pro V1s over anything - even using the refurbished models over everything else. NXT Tour as a second choice. Now- forgive me for my ignorance but where are we on this copyright infringement thing? Is the V1 soon to be pulled from the shelves or do they have yet more breathing space? And by the time anything happens that wil affect the average golfer in the street, will it make any difference anyway?

It is my understanding that Titleist has to cease production in Jan of 09 as they lost the court battle to Callaway. It makes sense because the new ProV1x and the ProV1 will be selling in Feb of 09, and the Pros in Hawaii are now using the new model of golf ball.

Loving the new V1x for 2009! Makes me want to give up the TP RED on not so windy days. It works a little more in the air than the RED off my longer clubs, but feels wonderful on short irons. I have to watch the back spin as they like to wander off the front of greens. I've played two rounds with the same ball, but half way through the third a cart path tore it all to hell! Flies longer than the 2007 model off the driver for me.

I am intrigued by these Titleist Tour Prestige balls because you can find them at a good price, though at limited places. I have read that they are similar to the NXT Tour even though they are a two piece. I have also heard they are softer and stick better than any of the Titleist DT line.

Does anyone have any feedback on these?
