Lemme tell ya, it is the real deal. Paid $250 for it too by trading in old clubs. I have never hit any driver as far as this one

I usually have my 4 iron in the bag because that will give me 14. Otherwise I can control my 3H really well and just swing easier to hit it that 180-200 range. When I want to be aggressive and go after it I can hit my 5 over 200 as well, so I have not encountered any problems...yet

Thanks! Can't wait to get the new grips on the irons and throw a shaft in the superfast. I just ordered a burner tp 3 wood yesterday, so I look forward to that coming in. My once all titleist woods may become all taylormade. Never intended for it to be like that either! I'm anxiously waiting good weather.

Its a great club man. Pretty much everytime i pull it out i have complete confidence in it. Great distance. If you every get a chance you should try a blueboard 83 in your burner. The feel of this club is amazing.

Awesome to hear. The one I ordered came in today. I've played MFT blueboards and love the feel/performance of those. I can only imagine throwing a real one into the burner. I may give it a go. I'm sure it'd be worth it.

The course used to be East Hartford Golf Course. It's not a bad layout. It's short but plays a little longer because it's always wet. Since MDM golf took it over from the town the greens have been better, but the rest of the course is pretty rough. The fairways can get pretty narrow 15-16 yards wide and it not uncommon for the rough to be 5-6 inches. I play there because it's cheap and the men's club has some pretty good golfer's. Where do you normally play?

Nice. Last year I played out of Quinnatisset CC, a private course in Thompson. Prior to that I liked playing CT National in Putnam. I'm in the quiet corner of CT. There are a lot of shorter 9 hole only courses in the area I'll practice at. Got lucky enough to be selected from the waiting list @ Quinnatisset last year, so I'm renewing my membership there for this year. I like to play in open tournaments so I'll play at the University Club of CT in Willimantic and the Norwich Open @ Norwich GC. I also have connections at Lake of Isles where I played 1-2/wk a few years ago. I've been fortunate to play a lot of nice courses frequently the past few years. I haven't played too many courses in the middle of the state (Ellington Ridge, Minnechaug, Manchester CC, Rolling Meadows are the only ones that come to mind right now).

Ya I bought it based on so many good reviews. I like the v-steels so figured I'd give this one a go. It looks great at set up and if it performs anything like the v-steels I'll be more than satisfied.

How is Quinnatisset? I've only heard of it because I have played in the csga father son event the last 6 years or so and Matt Smith and his father are members there and they won the event a few times. I haven't played Ct National since they did the renovations there. Really want to get out there though. My father plays there quite a bit. He has a camper in Woodstock and is up there every weekend. How is Norwich GC that's where the father son tournament is this year.

Quinni is very well maintained, greens are like lightning. Front 9 is very open. The wind is its defense as well as pin placement. There are 4 holes throughout the course where water is a definite factor beginning with a 195 yrd par 3 over water on hole #3 (it is fairly common to begin a round 2 or 3 over). Ya Matt won the CT amateur last year. Him and his father have won many father son tournaments including multiple club championships for the father and various tournaments throughout the state by the both of them. CT National is a beautiful course now it is definitely worth playing and the greens fees are reasonable. I didn't play there all last year but the years before they had a fairly consistent deal of $39 for 18 with a cart and a $5 food voucher after 1pm on the weekends that I took advantage of often. Norwich GC is a fun little track. It's not very long. I played in the Norwich Open for the first time ever 2 years ago having never played the course before and shot 75. The shots I dropped were solely related to poor club selections. If your short game is on, this is a course you can go low on. The greens are avg.-moderate speed, somewhat bumpy; comparable to poa annua type greens only regarding their roll. There are a lot of elevated greens and ongulations/valleys in the fairways especially finishing up 16-18 which are across the street. There are multiple reachable par 4s, but are best played laying up due to thicker green side rough and elevated greens.
