Is it worth it?
For those that are "members" of Club Cameron Club Cameron is it worth it to join?

There isn't a lot of details on his site other than the "Welcome Kit", are the other things worth joining?

Its access to information. The kit can be auctioned off on ebay and you will get most of your money back if you do. Whether that means its worth it to you, well that's a personal decision.

Before sending me a message for help, please look at the website support section:

I joined the club to get the "new" information first and access to limited edition items first. I like getting the emails and announcements for items that I had previously only picked up through ebay for a lot less when it's opened to Cameron Club members only. Scotty has done a lot to make the limited edition items available to all club members by limiting the purchases you can make. For awhile, even if you were a member, guys would be hoarding the covers and if you weren't purchasing within hours of the notice it would be gone.

So far, I have enjoyed my membership. It's made me feel closer to my favorite putter maker. :clapping:

I joined one year, but I did not feel much value of it - here's why:

* the "insider/ClubCameron member" sections were not updated enough, and I didn't feel that it provided that much inside information. Much of hte information is public anyway.

* I never could seem to find out the areas where you could buy things only available to club members. Maybe I'm computer challenged - but everything for sale looked as if it were available to the general public as well.

* I don't have the $$$$ to purchase some of the limited items that were announced.

Here were the things I did enjoy about CC:

* The duffel bag I got was VERY cool (I still use it on a daily basis, almost)

* At the time I joined, the restoration studio was for members only. Now - it's open to anyone.

* The sticker and headcover was nice, I suppose.

As others have mentioned - you can easily sell the stuff you get to cover the costs of membership, but frankly - I was disappointed in my experience.

I joined and rejoined a couple years in a row, I have not kept any of the membership stuff, I did sell it off for just about the cost of the membership but I never thought it was worth it. I joined because I was going through a headcover collecting phase and thought it was a way to get the latest release hc's, the hc market is pretty dead, so I have since sold off 90% of my collection, if you want a hc, you can get anyone you want from ebay. IMO not worth it!!! I never got any "insider" info from the site that I could not get anywhere else. Heck, you can get more "insider" info from this site on any golf question you have.

Do these limited edition items include the special putters, i.e holiday putters and the my girl putters? or is it just headcovers? also, i read in an article that scotty sells the tour putters that he gets back at the end of each season, are those available to CC members? thanks

good luck trying to get the limited addition putters and hc. I tried to get the pink hc and the link wouldn't work and when it finally did they were already sold out and i know for the US Open hc you could buy up to 3 at a time. No one needs 3 of them so they can sell the rest on ebay. Let everyone buy one of them and it will let more people purchase the limited stuff. I am thinking about getting rid of my stuff since the website kinda sucks IMO because its not updated enough and they always have the same crap for sell. Oh and i think i have only had one email sent to me about the website being updated.

I would say "NO", unless you've got a connection somewhere. I was a CC member, and I tried to get one of the ex-tour putters, but I could never find where to buy them, nor could I get a response from clubcameron. :clapping:

that was part of my frustration with CC - supposedly you get all this wonderful access to limited editions, pre-announced products, Prototypes, and ex-tour items, but I never saw any of that available to members.
