I got this bad boy last week, and i'm dying to take it out. Unfortunately, work has been killing me. Until then, i'll just say that it feels awesome on the carpet!

 

It sets up so nice and square. The craftsmanship is beautiful, too.

Personal Preferences

I like putters with rounder edges and not a lot of bells an whistles. Some of the putters I have used are Wishon Smooth 6 (center shafted), Odyssey 440 (Bullseye Flange type that I took a file to in order to round edges even more), SC Coronado Mid Slant, and 8802

All are pretty straight forward which is what attracted me to the 0721

 

Review

It is shorter and boxier than other models I have seen before. The head length is about equal to the 8802. It is wider face to back but this feature really helps to square it up for alignment purposes. The look is great in the black finish, which I have never had before. No bells and whistles, just simple stamp on face and the lines all flow nicely. One sight dot on top. What I like is there is the sight dot but the cavity is also pretty square and the walls of the cavity also help to align it up. Almost tempted to try and get two lines painted in there for additional alignment aids. It is heavy, but I like heavy putters as I play fast hilly greens (Mass. Donald Ross in Top 10 of State) and the heft of the putter allows for a smooth stroke. It aligns very easily and squarely to the target and love the flow of the neck into the putter.

Never been a putter cover fanatic, but ti comes with a really cool one! It is yellow and gives ample protection., The cool part is that it is closed via a magnetic strip all down the back opening which allows you to pick it up with the putter head as well as it sticks to the face. Very cool and useful.

 

All in all a great looking and feeling putter that has really improved my putting. You owe it to yourself to consider Giannini if you are looking at other high end putters as it easily competes and imo beats some of the other "name" putter lines

I recently picked up an answer style black oxide putter off the ebay sale. I have to say the putter is of excellent quality and craftsmanship. It is one of the best feeling putters I had the pleasure of playing. LP's service was quite good as well. The putter was shipped immediately and I had it two days after purchasing. As a nice touch the headcover was autographed by Ken Giannini as well. Despite the recent controversies IMHO anyone that got these putters for the recent prices got a great deal on a great putter.

I have a little secret for you..... Ken Giannini will be producing a new line of putters before then end of the year. I am a PGA professional and have been playing one of his new putters for about 6 months. Awesome!! I will be selling these putters very soon. There will be 5 different heads, 6 different necks and 3 different finishes to choose from.
