As in the Nike Forged Irons,"Precision Forging"forms the head of the wedge, then it is "Squeezed Forged"under extreme pressure to align the grain of the soft 1030 carbon steel. Forging the soft 1030 carbon steel also improves feel and performance while eliminating soft and hot spots on the face.Very important for managing the subtleties of a 42 yard wedge shot.Particular care has been given to the heel grind with the drop-away heel giving golfers total freedom to lay open the face, creating a variety of finesse shots without the interference of unwanted bounce. The heads are finished with a deep,durable Tri-Plex nickel and chrome plating buffed to a high satin-gloss finish.

i've got a 53*, 58* and 60* with raw finish. don't carry the 60* all that often. these are great wedges. they have a nice heavy feel to them, and a soft feel on short touch shots, but great control on the longer shots. shame they quite making them. i think these are as good, maybe a little better than my vokey oil can wedges

so i recently took my old vokey oil cans out and my struggeling short game instantly improved. i don't know if it is the bounce of the nike wedges or the s400 shafts, but for chips and such i was having serious struggles. i still believe these are great wedges for half to full shots. i'm looking at getting a different grind on them and different shafts. that could make the difference.

Nice wedges. Nice shape and profile, and, in the raw version, they look the part too. Give good spin, and sit well when opened up. Don't like the bounce on the 60 (too much) or the weight of them (WAY too heavy)

 

After a bit of grinding, the 60 replaced the Vokey that was in my bag.

I have a 53* & 58* and they're both great they're chromed though so I gave them a 4.

i wanted to post another follow up. i went and got my 53*, 58*, and 60* nike forged reshafted. i got a rifle 6.0 in the 53* and rifle 5.5 in the 58* and 60* and they are awesome. trajectory wasn't affected but i am able to get more spin. more importantly i have a much better touch with them. the 58* still gives me some troubles every once in a while because of the big bounce on it, so i will probably start carrying the 60* more ofter. love the feel of these wedges again.

I have a RAW 58* bent to 56* that I just put back in the bag this season. I must say I am liking this thing a lot! It does not feel nearly as soft as my Cleveland 900, but the performance is great! I bought this wedge new when Nike first released the RAW wedges, so about 3 1/2 years ago I think. It has my vote as a top quality wedge!

I got a forged 53* as a hand-me-down and liked it so much I ended up getting a 60 as weel. I honestly haven't hit too many other wedges so I may just be used to the Nike shape but I feel so confident with these wedges. I don't put a lot of spin on the ball but I'm able to land it very softly and play the slight to mid release. An instant classic.

one of my buddies has the 58 degree chrome one, get this, he found it at a local thrift store and got it for 5 bucks, had it set to his specs and regripped, and it's his go to club for anything 65 yards and in, i tried it out a few times and i love the feel, i really don't understand why they would discontinue such a good product with a CAST wedge. not that there aren't good cast wedges, but IMO, nothing beats a forged wedge.

I have a 48, 55, 56 and a 52 bent to 50! Feel great around the greens, just changed the shafts for S200's and they seem much more responsive than before, more spin and a softer feel.

I had the chrome stripped off the 50, then had it professionally blackened with a white swoosh! Looks like the dogs dangles!!

HOWEVER, they are myback up wedges. Still vokey all the way in raw (black ox) 48, 54, 60.
