Review: Mizuno WindLite Sweater is my Personal favorite for 40*F to 60*F

Battle tested warmest and less intrusive top I have ever owned...

Mizuno WindLite Sweater is my personal favorite for 40*F to 60*F. Its a sweater with a windproof barrier lining inside. Now dont think this barrier will restrict your swing because it doesnt at all. The cut is perfectly designed to allow you plenty of room for a swing and an athletic move without feeling restricted at all. The lining also stretches to allow you more flexibility.

I have owned these for years. I bought my first one from Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti Michigan for $120.00 approx. Didnt think much of it at the time. Honestly bought it more for looks than the performance that I learned later about. Next I noticed that I could wear this sweater in the coldest of days and be warm. I am talking cold. I am a mudder and play in Michigan till the snow flies and sticks.

Wearing clothes that maintains body temps and stops the wind are typically heavy, noisy and screws up the swing. I wear a long sleeve thermo shirt under this sweater (or a golf shirt if it is warmer say 50-60) and then this sweater and play in anything.

I am talking ANYTHING> Let it blow baby and the wind cant cut in. I took this sweater to Scotland and it was cold and windy. I was perfect. Mittens with hand warmers and stocking hat will do it. 5/5/5 and auto press on 2.

Mizuno isnt a sponsor and there is nothing in it for me to throw this out there. I love this sweater and think it is best in class.

I own both a sweater and two vests and I agree these are a staple of my cold weather golf wear. I personally prefer the vests and when combined with my thermal compression sleeves it is the best combination since there is absolutely no restriction in my shoulders.

I have one of the original versions, before they added the zipper on the front. I think it is like 4 years old. Perfect sweater, with the exception of the noise it makes when you swing.

I wonder if the newer versions are less noisy?

i own one also. they fit true to size. my only caution is that they are SUPER warm. if you are semi warm blooded, which i am, they can be on the warm side. but as far as fit and playability, they are great.

Easy are your from the Ann Arbor area? Miles of Golf is one of the best golf stores I have ever seen in my entire life. My sister and brother in law live out there and every time I go I drop some cash off at MOG.

True to size. I wear large shirts perfectly. 42 jacket and the large sweater fits like a glove.

I've seen lots of great reviews for these. They were hard to find for a while last year. I'm glad Mizuno brought it back. GPP didn't have my color so I ordered from mizunousa.com.

Completely agree....the new FJ sweater is basically the same as well. Put UA 4.0 Cold Gear under it and it is like wearing an oven. Played in 30 degree temps with that combination a couple of weeks ago and had to lose the sweater after 3 holes as I was sweating to death.

I would like to add my praise for the windlite sweater...i have 2009 model and it is amazing!! playing in 30-45 weather is easy, all you need is a compression top (available at walmart/target for cheap) and this sweater...the beauty of it is that you can use it and not feel restricted! To battle the cold weather you also need an appropriate pair of pants..last year I purchased 4 pairs of galway bay pants (http://www.gbagolf.com) and the are great as well...fleece lined with cuff to prevent wind from blowing up the pant legs, and they really keep you warm..worth checking out...any colder and you should be at home!

these are fantastic, especially in the wind. my friend works at the Miz, and he said they don't stock a ton of these. so if you're interested in one for the cold weather, I'd suggest ordering it now.

That mock under the sweater is what I wear when it's COLD. We walk, and those 2 pieces make it playable in any temp. We played last year with wind chills below zero. Those 2, plus the Mizuno sock hat, made it no problem at all. Can't praise them enough.

I've been wearing the vests for a few years up hear in the Northeast. As other posters say, paired with a compression shirt and you can't be any warmer. Comfortable, quiet, easy to layer on or off, make a great product. Not to mention, built to last.

First time wearing it, 45* yesterday with some wind. UA Heatgear underlayer w/ short sleeve polo underneath. Sweater did the job, very comfortable, looks good, did not hamper swing at all. But late in the round started feeling chilled because my inner layers were damp from perspiration. Can't really vent this sweater, even zipper all the way down is not much of an opening. I just have to watch how I layer but this sweater is very good at holding in heat.

I also have the Mizuno Windlite vest that I like alot. Fewer problems with sweating.
