Odyssey/Callaway is missing lots of sales opportunities here, especially with the Sabertooth model used by Bradley and lately Mickelson.
They are already shipping

The belly Dart is on horrendous backorder as well right now. Are you saying the Sabretooth is shipping? There is no belly Sabretooth. I've been screaming about this to Callaway for months.
They are making the Sabretooth mid it's launching 11/18.
So, it's not already shipping? Seems like I already said that.
All you said was there is no belly Sabretooth, did I miss something?

There is no belly Sabertooth. There will be one on 11/1, (not 11/18,) but my man above said they were already shipping. Just wanting to set the record straight.

we already have them at our store

Is anyone else wondering why most companies are offering only face balanced Belly putters? A belly putter seems to follow a curved path so wouldn't some toe hang be a more natural fit? Maybe I'm missing something.
The whole design point of belly/long putters is the head following a straight back/straight through path with the handle-end being the point of static suspension. Having a forgiving, high MOI face-balanced head helps to keep the face square to the path, back and through.

That's not to say that other head designs or neck designs wouldn't work for people, and I'm not saying a curved path wouldn't work in a belly/long putter, but it's just what I've learned about the design of them, and why they are designed that way. Seems that design philosophy would provide a more consistent stroke for those of us who putt on a sb/st motion (and you'll also note PING's new "Fit for Stroke" categorization follows this philosophy in head/neck design).

Not sure this is accurate. I think the fact that you have the putter anchored to your midsection automatically makes the head open on the backswing and close in the follow through. Could be wrong.
I had a Spider Ghost belly but returned it before putting it in the bag, just couldn't get comfortable with the thought of having it in the bag, making a scene every time i take out the putter, and wasn't convinced i'd putt better with it. Not to say that i may not check one out again in the future but at 42, i'm resisting the belly putter.
This isn't an attack on you because, in the end, to each his own, right? But I don't understand this logic. I want the lowest score possible. If a belly putter can shave off 3 or 4 strokes a round, my friends can point and whisper all they want.

So, let me get this straight....You care more about what others think of your putter selection than shooting a better score and taking their money? I can understand if you dont have confidence in the b/p but just not wanting to put it in your bag just because you dont want to "make a scene" doesnt make much sense to me. I'll take the belly putter any day over the "standard" putter if I'm making more putts.

I recall hearing somewhere that Winn has had more orders for Belly/Split Putter Grips in the last few months than the last 7 YEARS!

Apparently they're back ordered ~ 14,000 pieces to boot.
Hmmh...at Roger Dunn, the grips are readily available. Now, TM belly and long putters have not been in stock for sometime now.

I know I waited like 3 weeks for my belly 41" Ghost Spider.

+1. Why would I care what the others think when I am sinking the birdies and knocking down those par savers? I play on munis all the time with all different people and NOT ONE mentioned anything about the putter. People must be UBBER sensitive on the other side of the woods...

Hell I rock the belly putter once in a while, if there were more options at the shops to try I would be using one all the time. I don't dig my current 2-ball it is 45" and a bit too long for me.

I am happy to hear about more bellys coming out, I struggle with putting and I feel it is keeping me from getting to scratch. Whatever works I could care less what it looks like.

I always laugh when 12+ caps comment when I am using the belly, "I could never use that it looks weird", whereas the lower guys are always interested in them.
