And it was the youngest player in Solheim Cup history leading the way. Creamer, four months removed from her high school graduation in Florida, birdied the first hole against Davies and was on her way.

She was six shots up at the turn and won the match with a tee shot that stopped three feet above the hole on the 13th, a birdie that was conceded for a 7 and 5 victory.

For the first time all week, the United States had the lead. "This is a huge feat for me," Creamer said. "It was one of my goals to get here, and when I got here, I wanted to win. This is an unbelievable experience."

Creamer was somewhat bound to do well in this sort of match play format as she was raised on AJGA and USGA amateur events -- all of which are match play. Just wait until Pressel gets here. There is a young lady that relishes and flourishes in match play. Watching the USGA Women's Amateur -- all of the players who made it to match play throw darts at the pins and putt like there is no tomorrow. The only thing surprising about the Davies vs. Creamer match up was how quickly and decisively Creamer took her down.

DITTO THAT! Paula took it to her FAST - that was quite impressive to watch. Part of me thought that Paula was shooting off her mouth somewhat in the press conference, and another part of me just chalked it up to youthful exuberance...................but I guess that old quote is true: "It Ain't Braggin' if you can do it", I suppose.
