Christina is a character. She is young and brash and her actions at the Solheim were probably, what you would not call "lady like". She did help out Team USA to win and she should be given credit for her playing ability and not judged by looks. No one bags on the PGA guys like Daly or Stadler. Of course, Phil is an exception... :clapping:

Arguably, without Christina Kim, the US team loses. This is why the US Ryder Cup team has so many problems, no one serves as the lifeblood of the team.

I was kind of waiting for the Euros to complain about Christina Kim being TOO vocal and rowdy. That way the response could be too f'g bad, play better and you will silence the US team.

Team events really invoke emotion. That's part of the reason they're so exciting. Emotions run high. If Christina did that during say Round 2 of a LPGA tourney, then I'd take offense to it. But team competition is emotional.

People get wrapped up in the emotion of the moment. Heck, even the stoic Duval pumped his fists at Brookline in '99, which was waaaaaay out of character.

He was like a newborn calf starting to walk. He didn't exactly know how to do it, but he just did it anyway. :clapping:

Another Euro here...... I had no problems with Roseanne Barr's hitstrionics......(whaddya mean it wasn't her...) :cheesy:

...Anyway Miss Kim looked like she was having fun! (no bad thing).

....it only took 18 holes before I understood her Father's 'Gooooshor' cry..... which made a refreshing change from 'Get in the hole'. :D

Well done USA....... looking forward to Sweden.

PS that Paula Creamer's something else! She sure creamed Laura (out in 30!!! no less) :clapping:

Christina has what is called an outgoing personality. She loves people. She loves golf. She loves that people watch her play golf. As others have said, she is a breath of fresh air in a sport and on a tour that needed to attract fans (fan friendly). It's very hard to relate to a player who marches stoically and always wearing a game face. [Remember Annika was called RoboSwede.] Christina interacts with the gallery all the way around the course and every day -- just like Daly and Jacobson and Zeller and Lopez and Carner and Davies and JRo. And the crowds love and loved them all. She and they are neither rude nor disruptive. There is a line -- Christina hasn't crossed it. I found Sergio's antics and celebrations during the Ryder Cup much more ridiculous and taunting. Christina's fist pumps and shouting was pure exuberance and joy vs. some sort of "gochya".

That's why we need John Daly on the Ryder Cup.

I agree about what Sergio did at the 1999 Ryder Cup, he was too crazy with the pumps..

But then again, in the Singles at Brookline..... Rest is History.... :clapping:

What he said...

37118[/snapback]

What is lady like behavior? All I saw was youthful, spirited behavior. The photo which appeared to show CK inappropriately licking the Solheim Cup approached inappropriate behavior. However, other photos showed that it appears that she did not actually lick the Cup. So I ask again, what actions qualify as un-lady like?

I still say that if CK was svelt and considered traditionally attractive then the he actions would be viewed differently.

It was inappropriate "IF" she did it before her opponent had putted out.  Otherwise, it is in the spirit of the competetion.........at least she didn't moon walk. :clapping:

Or shoot a MOON! :D I like to watch Kristina Kim, she's fun to watch play the game. Women's golf hasn't been the most exciting or overly viewed sport in the past, at least now people are starting to talk about it. Between Wie, Creamer and now Kim, maybe women's golf will start getting better participation in viewing. :cheesy:

I enjoyed watching her play...as much as anyone else out there... US needed the spunky one..

I thought she was Margaret Cho when I first saw Christina. I thought she was imitating a professional women's golfer. Don't laugh...I'm serious. But Margaret is from So. Cal and CK is from your neck of the woods.

I like her. When I was at the SBS Open at the beginning of the year, if I wasn't watching Wie, Grace Park, Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, I was watching Christina. It's no act guys. The girl plays with A LOT or personality and A LOT of emotion. I love watching that stuff in golf. Too many times we get bored to death with the sullen Goosen's and quiet Singh. Why not have a little emotion and excitement in the game. Christina's emotion may have went up a notch at the Solheim, but I think she gave her all for the team and the USA! Go Christina! :clapping:

Agreed a little life in the game doesn't hurt. I didn't have a chance to see exactly what she did but as long as she didn't moonwalk and do the in your face (within 2 feet) of the comp it shouldn't be a big deal. NOW...that being said...if the team had rushed the green aka Justin we might have a different topic now.

I will admit to watching the Opening Ceremonies (albeit, while unpacking at my house). I noticed how uncontrollably Kim was crying after the "Star Spangled Banner" was completed. She was consoled by a teammate. Her cheeks were red and very wet.

In short, I was impressed with how patriotic she came across.

Just my 2 cents.

Being a neutral observer from Canada, I couldn't stand her!!!! I found that she fist pumped for almost every shot, even if it was a 7 iron to the middle of the green. I also found the announcers to be very 1-sided towards the Americans. All of there shots were "Extremely difficult" while the Euros had "straightforward, easy" shots.

Jut my 2cents.

I think all pro golfers should be emotionless robots, devoid of any spirit or outwardly expressed emotion and thereby they can be completely and entirely politically correct at all times.  Then again, I wouldn't watch them...but hey, they would be politically correct...so they've got that going for them.

Ms. Kim is a treat to watch, in fact all of the women were a treat to watch. I like the emotion and expressiveness displayed so naturally. It not only increases the entertainment value but adds to the enjoyment of the contest. I couldn't help but smile at some of her reactions, and Julie Inkster's dance steps had me laughing uncontrollably. As for the US Ryder cup team, its hard to display exuberance when you are being handed your a** in a basket.

Thats the kind of ownership I want on my team :clapping: :cheesy: It may rub some people the wrong way and they may think the behavior is unbecoming , but if that is wrong, then I WANT TO BE THAT WRONG FOR MY TEAM.............................................................
