Very durable ball. I have been playing Callaway Tour i(s) for several years now, and I think the Srixon is going to be taking its place. I was impressed with how well the cover held up to very agressive wedge shots, as the Callaway would get lots of cuts from the grooves. Played 18 with the same ball yesterday and it looked as good after the final putt as it did with the first tee shot. Felt great off the irons and putter. I did notice a decrease in spin off the driver which is quite welcomed..

Great all around ball.

My #1 ball is Prov1X but always very disappointed with their durability.

XV is long and do well in windy day.

I still think Prov1x is a bit longer IMHO.

Less spin off the driver and just the right amount off my irons. Gamed it for the first time this week and hit a hole in one.

My favorite is still the Cally ix, I really like the hex black too, but you can't beat the durability of the xv. It performs almost as good as the hex around the green, but doesn't shred a bit. The hex lasts 1-3 holes before looking horrible. The yellow xv will play until you lose it. I have some that are going into their 5th round and still look good. I'm a convert!

Nothing but praise for the XV, as already noted by others it is low spin off the driver but has enough spin and feel around the greens for most, AND is durable. My usual ball is the Callaway i(S) and this is just as good, maybe better, but feels so much softer off the putter and doesn't get shredded by my wedges.

What is the difference between the xv's and the regular zstars?
XV is 4 piece, normal zstar 3 piece. XV is also firmer and lower driver spin. Best ball on market imo. I only started using them cause of price, but use them exclusively now.

I havent played this ball yet, but am very curious as to if its the right one or me. I dont have a Srixon ball fitting in my area (Lakleland, FL), so like the most of us its a trial and error type of thing. The last ball I played and really enjoy was the Q Star... At the time I was hitting my 9 irons 150 yards, with a club head speed of 89.4 and ball speed of 104. These past several months Ive noticed that my swing has gotten faster and a lot more balanced. Havent been able to see it on a simulator yet though... Do you think I should try out/switch to the Z star? All suggestions highly welcomed...

This ball has everything. Durability, Feel, Spin, Length, and Straightness. At first when I got this ball I was a bit skeptical, however, I have fallen in love with it. The price is probably the best part about this ball. 29.99 beats a ProV1 and i believe they have way more durability that the Pro V1's (unless you destroy a cart path).

I love this ball, especially the tour yellow. I haven't liked a ball this much since the TP Red.
JShaw - agree with you about the yellow XV. A couple of the players on the senior Tour, including Peter Jacobson, can't say enough about the XV, which has the best shade of yellow on the market, and a premium ball, as well. For whatever reason, you'll never see a yellow B330 or Pro V.

Srixon zstar xv is the best ball I've ever played. Great off the driver. Nice boring trajectory that doesn't balloon. Very nice and crisp off the irons. Enough spin to hold long irons into most greens. I can spin it as much or as little as I want off the wedges. I actually prefer the firmer feel off the putter.

I won a couple dozen pro v1x in a tourney a few weeks ago. I tried one sleeve and gave the rest away. Still spin way too much for my game. Wedges zipped right back at me off the greens.

The srixon tour yellow color can't be beat. I won't use anything else as long as this ball is around.

One afternoon I was chipping on the practice green. I had about 6 balls with one being the z-star vx. This damn ball had to find the hole at least 5x & was the only one that day.

Next time I'm in the golf shop I see last years model on $ale for $29. I had been using pro v1x prior to this but wasn't in the mood to spend $50 on balls. So I gave the z-star vx a try and I've stayed with them ever since.

The ball is great off the tee. Nice boring ball flight and every bit as long as the pro-v. I also loved it around the greens. I felt it has a nice soft feel and and was able to get a good check.

I am a big fan of the Srixon Z-Star XV and it has become my ball of choice.

I really enjoy the durability and compression of the ball. This ball has a really long feel to it off the tee while a good amount of spin around the greens. It seems to roll very well with the dimple pattern and I feel confident when looking over it.

Overall I recommend this ball to anyone who has high swing speeds and tends to struggle with the compression of other balls off the tee.
