LIVE CHAT WITH JASON GORE! Wednesday, Dec. 21, 6pm ET

Jason,

What do you do to stay focussed during a round with a slow player? My mind wanders quite often and I end up rushing when it's my turn and my swing tempo goes to hell. Also, throughout your years of playing what would be your all time ultimate bag driver through putter? I understand if you can't answer because of contract obligations.

Thanks
Kyle

No doubt, I hope the best for you. Thank you for your time! Thanks to WRX for putting this on.

Did Carson Daly have enough game to play on a professional tour if that is where his focus remained?
Carson is an extremely talented player. And he loves the game. Yes, I think he could of, but, he's where he's supposed to be. He is making a hell of a lot more money doing what he's doing now than most of us lowly professional golfers. I'd trade with him! LOL
Thanks! Just watched the playing lesson last night again. Lastly, who is the most talented clubmaker/fitter you have used either with an OEM or privately? Thanks again and best wishes in 2012.
I think Pat Dempsey is great! He's a long drive guy. I've actually seen his advertisement on this site. He once told me, "I'm a hillbilly, I can make anything work." That's pretty funny! And, he's right!

Hey Jason:

You're definitely one of the crowd favorites. I'm always pulling for you to do well. Who do you like to hang out with on tour? What do you do on your down time when your out on the road?
Since there are still questions and the wife isn't yelling at me yet... I play a lot of guitar when I can. I love it. I'm trying to get better. I've been able to play chords and stuff for a while, but now I'n trying to learn scales so I can play some lead. It's a long shot, but maybe we can get Jake Trout and the Flounders back together or something! But, mostly, I try to be a good dad. I'm not around that much, so when I am, I try to make the most of it. They just grow up so darn fast!

Well shoot--JUST showed up, thinking that I was in time to follow along. Story of my life, day late, dollar short, to short for the big boy rides, and too perdy to hang with the rough crowd...

Jason Gore, thanks for the participation--I really look forward to going back through and reading this thread. I just read the last few posts, so forgive if I'm rehashing what's been covered, but I'm curious about your down time--Do you find yourself with more free time while touring, during tournament breaks, or during the off-season to pursue other interests (i read guitar). Does being married change that free time? Does your wife travel with you or use the opportunity for "girls week out"?.

Also--How much time do you figure you [s]waste[/s] spend on this site? Any posts, comments, members, or possibly awesome moderators that stand out in your mind?

Anyway--thanks again for your participation!

:hi:

Wow cool, i can't believe i missed this thread....Stupid Job

Jason if you are still around and this question hasn't been asked yet (i didn't read the whole thread)....

-I remember the first time i ever heard of you was when you were tied for the lead at Pinehurst in 2005. That must have been quite an experience for you. I always wonder how a pro truly feels in that situation. Did you really believe you could win? How nervous were you on the first tee in the 4th round? How did you handle the round as it went on and you weren't having your best day? What memories do you have of that tournament in retrospect?

Who's your favorite practice round partner (from any of the tours - PGA, Champions, Nationwide)? Any money games?

I'm really good friends with Pat Perez. We grew up playing in So Cal together so, we've known each other for a long time. You couldn't find two more opposite people than him and I. He's rather, um, high strung. And me, not so much. But together, we both turn into a couple of morons, and I mean that in a good way. One year at Congressional for Tiger's event, we were hitting balls at Steve Sands while he was on the air broadcasting. Not the brightest of things, but we thought it was funny at the time. We weren't trying to hit him, but make a large racket off the canopy he was standing under. We were basically wondering if he would say something bad on the air. Yep, two morons! :)
I was at the range that day and those weren't flop shots...those were stingers! I also ran into you and Pat at Golfdom that weekend on the putting green. If memory serves Pat bought an off the rack Seemore MFGP. Couldn't be more down to earth...good luck to you Jason. :friends:

Since you are now free of your Cobra/Puma contract. Can you tell us a few products that you have been impressed with thus far through out your testing?

The other question is, when choosing a contract, do you prefer a some flexibility, or just have faith that any OEM can make you what you want?

(I know gear is very much person preference, but it's still fun to know that tour guys love equipment too.
You said you were leaning heavily in one direction, so I'm going to guess adams)

Take good care and play well (meaning putt well) in 2012!!

Pretty sure it's not Adams but that could change. Jason is headed to Scottsdale to play in a Pro-Scratch then on to Hawaii to try to Monday qualify for the Sony next week. I doubt he will be on GolfWRX for a while.
